my sir has told dat if we connect a capacitor in parallel to a choke coil of tubelight then all my sector's electrical applicance will be destroyed..is this true???

Quite risky to connect but not too dangerous.There is a chance of getting coil as short circuited by the capacitor.
Fo ac choke acts as a short circuit and capacitor acts as a open circuit for a frequency of 50hz.So there is a chance that the high current will flow from choke itself and may damage the coil and other appliances.

Not quite that bad, but you could be hurt as it would probably behave as a dead short to AC and explode the capacitor depending on the wiring.
