For the 2007 model, the emblem is still glued on, not bolted.

For many years most emblems on cars are glued on but it may be very difficult to pry them off without using some sort of glue remover. I removed a vw emblem from a 1980's jetta nad the glue was on ther so well that I almost snapped the emblem in half trying to get it off. Be careful about what glue solvent you use because they may hurt the paint. Also, some emblems sit in a little indentation even though they are glued on so if you remove it then the little indentation may be left over. I don't think the altima is this way but take a close look before you go further. If there is an indent and you want a smooth look then you or a body shop will have to fill the dent with filler or hammer out the dent and then repaint the piece.

I have an '05 Altima and mine was glued on using some double sided tape. I simply heated it with a hair-dryer and used fishing line to "saw" through the tape. Then I used Goo-Gone to remove the rest of the adhesive, and finished by waxing the area. I don't know about '07 model year, but mine left no indication that there was ever an emblem there. Idoubt they started bolting on their badging.

A quick look inside the trunk lid on the reverse side of the emblem would show studs and nuts if it were bolted. Check with your dealer's parts counter before attemting to remove or replace.
