After trying absolutely EVERY dandruff shampoo and every home remedy that was offered to me, I finally stumbled upon something that works for me. It's called "Hot Six Oil" made by African Royale, and you can find it in most drugstores in the African haircare aisle,(which oddly is right next to the dandruff shampoo area.) It is not tested on animals, smells great, and is made from all natural products, if those are determining factors for you. I massage it into my scalp before bed and wash it out with a dandruff shampoo when I get up. Not only does it get rid of the flakes, but it also makes my hair amazingly soft. No itch either. I hope it works for you as well as it did for me. It's amazing how much better I feel when I don't hafta worry about the flakes on my black clothes. (Ugh, I sound like an infomercial, I know, but it seriously works!)

Try and see which dandruff shampoo works for you. Some people have had problems with Head and Shoulders because they got exzeema?
I used to get dandruff pretty bad and nothing was working, so I went and bought a dandruff shampoo called "Selsun Blue". You can buy it anywhere and it works.

Quiet easily.
1) before taking a shower take a bristle brush, and scrape as much dandruff off of the itchiest places. ( were it itches most is the place it is the worst.)
2) When in the shower use either Head and Shoulders, or Aussie.
3) Don't load up on alot of products because it will gunk up on your scalp and make dandruff.

Use a shampoo with Salicylic Acid, like Head and Shoulders. If that does not work, use a shampoo with Coal Tar Extract, like DHS Tar.
I find that if one does not work, the other will. For the most part, you need to use it every time you wash your hair.
Also, after you work the shampoo in, scratch lightly at your scalp or use a comb to help dislodge any extra dandruff.

Try using an off brand dandruff shampoo like from cvs or walgreens. After that, you should do a v05 hot oil treatment and that will give your scalp some moisture.
