I think it's safe to say that, somehow, George W. Bush is responsible for this.

Ranting will do nothing. Call your bank for an explanation.

By the way...

"Why did the bank steal $140 from me?" is a question.

Additionally, I see no policy violations, so while your $140 is gone, your question should stick around.

Well if you weren't close to overdrawing it, I would go down and get the manager. If he can't justify it, then he needs to refund it. If he doesn't you need a new bank and you need to sue them in small claims court.

Go to the bank, get all the records and double check... there might be an unauthorized transaction..

I only report haters, not off topic questions or silliness.

The banks used to do that to me, so I stopped using them. I have a card I use to do my banking by phone or internet.

You see, the bank can steal your money because they have easy access to it. They take it and then don't give it back and you can't do anything. They know how much money you have, so they know you can't afford a lawyer.

Is it possible that someone got the numbers off or a bank/debit card when you made a purchase somewhere? I was talking to a person yesterday that this happened to.

Banks are evil. I had an account that had bunches of odd stuff coming out. when i went to the bank, they told me to close the account. which i did. months later i got a statement saying i owed them 300 bucks because when you close an account and something tries to clear, it automaticaly reopens the account. this would have been a nice detail for them to give me when i closed the account. evil shyte.

If people do not afraid of punishments of laws they can commit any crime If people know that they should explain in hereafter of every act they do in this world, they can hesitate to commit crime. Otherwise we can put one police next to each person in the world All the best :)

as you wish, i will report you for ranting.
Maybe they fined you for being under the minimum balance, which then led to overdraft fees.
