Patience is "bearing up under pressure". Patience is understanding the difference between our timing and the timing of Our Lord. It is endurance.

It's obtained by seeking the Lord God, prayer and a desirous searching for it. Asking the Lord to reveal His patience with us in our lives is good practice. Often times if we see it in action through Our Father, we are better able to practice it in our lives.

Blessings to you and yours.

There are two types of patience. One is patience in your circumstances and the other is patience with people (longsuffering). God puts you in the gymnasium of faith in order to grow your ability to be cheerful while going through difficult circumstances or dealing with people who try your patience.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The Holy Spirit gives you supernatural help by reminding you of God's promises and guiding you to respond to people with charity and convicting you when your flesh wants you to react with anger or doubt and fear so that you become impatient.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

With Prayer, and constant prayer. And mean it with your heart. Ask Jesus to help you. It is not an overnight sucess, although it can be.
