Protection amongst animals can also be interpreted as warning predators as well as hiding, so there are one heck of a lot of animal species that use camouflage such as flies that mimic wasps, moth caterpillars that mimic snakes and so on.

Lots of animals are naturally camouflaged. Take a look at deer, squirrels, rabbits in a woodsy environment. They blend right in.

There's a caterpillar that looks like a twig, so it doesn't get eaten by birds
Butterflies that have a pattern of an Owl's eyes on its wings
Lizards can change color
and of course, the chameleon can as well
There's one fish that's brown in color, and will bury itself into the ocean floor to escape predators
