Oh, well cat had something - not even sure if fleas... they were little black things that u can see and they like, walk. Well, she slept WITH me, in my bed, next to my head, like all the time before we found out. Gave her like 3 flea baths with flea shampoo, and I washed my hear EXTREMELY good with shampoo and conditioner. So, where should I go from here?

You gotta give your cat Frontline or Advantage once per month. As soon as you apply it in 3 hours the fleas will be dead and any new ones around that jump on kitty will fall straight off the cat.

Vacc your carpets and clean your bedding, and the cats if she has one and wipe down with disinfectant any areas the cat sleeps.

Frontline once per month is a must! :)

The little black things were fleas for sure.

Fleas only will use an animal for a host. If a flea does bite you, it will probably be on your ankles, for a taste, then it will jump off and try to find an animal. A tick will use a human for a host. Ticks move much more slowly than fleas, and bury their heads into the host's skin. A tick is quite obvious, and can be removed by using tweezers, or other means, as directed by a physician. If the insect moves rather quickly, it is probably a flea. Fleas are dark and shiny, and their bodies are more perpendicluar to the body of the host.
If you are trying to rid your home of fleas, the first thing to do, is to cleanse your bedding in hot, soapy water. Then you can give your cat a bath in dish soap, using it the same way you would use shampoo (If your flea soap did not do the trick). Dish soap kills fleas. You will need to do a follow-up bath in a week or two when new fleas hatch from the eggs, which survive the bath. You also need to use a flea comb on the cat's face and ears, because the fleas left alive will go there for safety.

1. Don't panic, especially if you look anything like your avatar, who doesn't have so much hair (lol). But seriously don't panic, it's not the end of the world even if you got some fleas.
2. Spray the cat with Frontline spray. You could spray your head too, but I wouldn't do it unless I found out I have some fleas. Careful, don't spray mouth and eyes (the cat's and yours, and don't let the cat lick herself before she is dry). Repeat in a month.
3. Buy a shampoo or lotion for humans for the insects that affect children usually. I had gotten some fleas at halloween from a wig I had rented, I washed my hair with that shampoo and never saw them again.

Sounds like fleas. Flea shampoo alone will not prevent fleas from coming back. Try a topical such as frontline, to kill, repel fleas, and kill the eggs. One flea lays hundreds of eggs, so you should go to someplace like Lowe's or Home Depot and ask them what pesticide is safe for you to spray in your home because you don't want to kill your kitty. Also, put moth balls in your vacuum canister or bag and this will help by killing any of them you suck up, otherwise they crawl out later. If your cat goes outside treat your yard with something like sevin dust. Worst case scenario, you may need to have a professional exterminate the home. Oh, and you should use the flea meds every month. For future reference, fleas are cheaper to prevent than to treat, next time treat the cat before the fleas come. best of luck

Fleas and ticks are a common problem for pet owners. Not only can they make your pet sick, they carry diseases that humans can catch too. The right precautions can greatly lessen the chance of either of you contracting an illness and keep your pet happy.

Fleas feed on blood. Signs of flea borne illness include skin irritation, allergic reactions, anemia and possibly death. Fleas also carry tapeworms. Large amounts of fleas, or ticks, can produce a large amount of blood loss.

Ticks, which also feed on blood, are carriers of Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever to name a few.

Preventative measures may not completely eradicate the problem but it will vastly reduce the presence of these pests. Following are ways to keep you and your pet safe.

Whenever your pet has been outdoors, always inspect him when he comes back inside. Be thorough! Check between your dog’s toes, behind and in his ears, his armpits and head and tail. Use a flea comb to catch any fleas you might have missed. Look closely for tiny black specks, which could indicate flea eggs.

Always read the labels on flea and tick products. Make sure they are appropriate for your dog’s age and weight. Never use items made for humans! Never use these products on young, pregnant, debilitated or elderly dogs without first consulting a veterinarian.

Different treatments deal with various stages of a flea’s life. Read the label to know if it deals with larvae, eggs or adult fleas. You will often need to use a variety to kill the most fleas and prevent a repeat infestation.

Inside your home you can make a simple flea trap. Fill a shallow dish about halfway with water. Add a few drops of dish washing soap. Place the dish on the floor or a table and set a light above it. The fleas will be attracted t o it, fall in and drown.

In the yard, remove dead plants and clear excess brush. These are ideal places for fleas and ticks to thrive.

These are just a few suggestions. If you prefer natural solutions, there are numerous books and websites dedicated to these. Our pets depend on us to look out for them. Keeping a regular flea and tick regimen not only protects them but you and your family as well.

fleas like water
spray would be better
i do have cats too, and they sleep with me, but don't worry, the fleas of cats don't come to people, but if someone is allergic then he might get something.
i have noticed that they don't have the same amount of fleas all year long. in the winter it was like they didn't have any, but i guess that the summer time is reproduction time.
if you want to get rid of the fleas (hygiene) then there should be several products to find in a pet shop that you could use.
unfortunately my cats are really afraid of anything chemical, so it's hard for to to use any.

i should stop worrying about it. All cats have fleas. Just make sure you give her the flea treatment once a month as normal - but the drops that you put on their neck are kinder than the shampoo, which they hate.
