When a big plane (like a 747) lands, does it bounce on the runway ?

Does it actually touches the ground, get back in the air and touches the ground again for good ?
Or is there only one contact with the ground with a bounce feeling due to the suspension ?

It can do but this is why the pilot tries to land one side wheel just before the rest. You are more likely to bounce if all suspensions get compressed together and they all try and rebound together.

Big Planes Landing

Oh we definitely do bounce it on every now and then. Several bounces on occasion. Sometimes the floating on the struts does feel like a bounce but other times, yes, the airplane bounces right off the runway and back into the air. We often kid the other guy who was flying "The last landing was better than the first." HAHAHAHAHA. Did you ever notice that after a smooth greased on landing that you couldn't even feel the pilots were standing in the door as the passengers deplaned saying that they hoped everybody enjoyed their flight? But after a hard bouncing landing, as you pass the flight deck the door is still closed and locked? Wonder why that is?

There is no plane bouncing. The plane touches the ground once. That is why pilots land the plane first on rear wheel, and then lower down the front edge.
The second bump is probably the nose wheel landing on the runway.
When we land, we feel vibration for a second or two because the wheels are in a stop while in the air but need to get spinning suddenly as it touches the ground. That is probably another bounce you might feel.

sometimes it does if the pilot hits the runway too early it bounces a little bit then touches down and if it is windy it does the same and if the pilot is also not very good at landing planes they usually land it very hard. also because of the weight of the plane it bounces most of the time.

not a element will help! in case you pass down, get interior the brace place, and kiss it see you later, as there is no desire! It stems lower back from while the previous Aeroplanes had 2 engines, and while they flew over the water, it replaced right into a great risk, now with the creation of 747 Jumbo jets, they are able to lose 3 engines, yet on some trim and different mechanical instruments, and pick the flow to the floor, because of the fact at 35,000ft and a sluggish descent fee, they could discover land. yet do not forget, they have VFR, IFR, GPS systems, and are continuously in touch with Air administration, not to point the incontrovertible fact that the airplane sends device up-dates to the Engineering branch of the Airline corporation and the builders of such airplane, i.e. BA, and Boeing!

Large aircraft do not bounce, they compress the landing gear shockers on touchdown, however if the touch-down speed is too high, it is possible to lose the benefits of the shockers and break the gear or even break fuselage in two.

The big planes are so heavy, that they do not bounce when they land. What you are feeling is the shock absorbers.

It depends on weather conditions and the skill of the pilot.
