We have a 2 bedroom condo, and the kitchen, dining room, and living area are in a big room. What every day items can be used as decorations-we are in Germany, and so far away from Ikea. We don´t have a lot of stores to choose from, so I need ideas.

What is your style? That will determine accessories. Play off your colors with candles and artwork. "Separate" your living room with a large rug. In the kitchen, attractive everyday untensils can be hung or displayed depending on your space. If you have an island without a light overhead, hang a pot rack.

Hats, purses, tree branches, childrens toys, hang a bicycle in a corner, balloons, frame some old calendar artwork, children's artwork, pieces of fabric, interesting dishes can be hung. Tall plants, flowers, books, ceramicware, puzzles completed and glued to a backing board. hang up interesting kitchen utensils, spoons pans, jello molds, etc. ceramicware of whatever you find collectible.

how about assorted veg. and/or fruits (the unreal and washable ones that look real) in a nice china bowl. But they must be washed at least once a month to keep it look "fresh" from cooking grime.
