+ Intecessory Prayer +
Jesus is our one and only mediator. Intercession is different.
"Teach us how to pray," the disciples said to Jesus. (Luke 11, 1)
Jesus answered by teaching them the prayer we call the Our Father or The Lord's Prayer.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give US this day OUR daily bread.
Forgive US OUR trespasses,
as WE forgive those who trespass against US.
And lead US not into temptation,
but deliver US from evil.
The entire second part of the Lord's prayer is intercessory prayer where we pray for ourselves and others (us, we, and our).
Christians praying for each other and the world is intercessory prayer and is accepted and practiced by all Christan denominations (that I know about).
+ Saints +
Before Jesus Christ died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven there were no saints in heaven. Therefore there are no Old Testament writings that would mention them.
Very few of the new Christians died before most of the New Testament was written. Therefore there is little in the Bible about asking saints to pray for us.
However the last book of the Bible does talk about the saints in heaven praying.
Revelation 5:8: Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones.
Revelation 8:3-4: He was given a great quantity of incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the holy ones, on the gold altar that was before the throne. The smoke of the incense along with the prayers of the holy ones went up before God from the hand of the angel.
The Holy Spirit guided the early Church in many things not explained in the Bible including how does the Body of Christ (believers) living on Earth relate to the Body of Christ (saints) living in heaven. We are still one Body.
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.
The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.
As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends living here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother living in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.
And prayer to the saints is optional not required.
+ The Blessed Virgin Mary +
"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28)
"Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb" (Luke 1:42).
The Hail Mary prayer simply recites Bible passages (the Word of God) and asks Mary to pray for us:
Hail Mary Full of grace, the Lord is with you. (These are the words the angel Gabriel said to Mary, a Bible quote.)
Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. (This is Mary's cousin Elizabeth's greeting, another bible quote.)
Holy Mary, (The angel Gabriel said she was full of grace and Elizabeth said she was blessed.)
Mother of God, (the Bible says Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, God the Son)
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. (A simple request to pray for us.)
Amen.
+ With love in Christ.

Okay, I'll bite. You have made a request for no irrelevent answers, even though your scenario is fanciful, but so are most "what ifs" and I can answer on that basis.
Can I imagine this dramatic little event happening on Judgment Day? No. And I'm glad you acknowledge that it's completely imaginary.
Do I really think Mary would say this? No.
Do I think Jesus would send His own mother to hell? No.
Do I think Mary is the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven?
Yes.
Do we disagree on this? Yes.
Are anti-Catholics who hammer away at the "Mary issue" likely to change any Catholic minds by insulting their beliefs?
No.
Happy?

No, Mary will not go to hell. She is the mother of Jesus.
We, of course, enter the kingdom of heaven through Jesus, not Mary. Catholics DO NOT WORSHIP MARY! We simply ask Mary to pray on our behalf just as we would ask any other friend to pray for us.
Pictures/statues of Mary are in remembrance and honor of her just like a friends picture in your wallet is to remind you of your friend or the statues in Washington D.C. are in honor of a president or leader.
The Hail Mary is made up of two parts: the first part being the Angel Gabriel's words to Mary. "Hail" meaning "Greetings" (check dictionary.com). The second part, simply asks her to "pray for us sinners"
And I am assuming that when you say judgment day, you are referring to the day a person dies and meets their judgment, because Catholics believe (from my understanding) that the book of Revelation was written in code and reference to a past event in which the Emperor was persecuting Christians (crudely put, i don't have all the details on this, I'm a little rusty because in studying this in Catholic school, we spent most of our time discussing the gospels and had to cram the rest of the New Testament in quickly before finals rolled around).

You have answer your question. It is a title given by the Catholics to Mary. If Mary is alive today she will say to the Catholics; " Get up! Do not worship me. I am also a servant of the Almighty God. Mary being a righteous woman will not be happy worshiping her.
Mary said in Luke 1:38 - 38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
You see Mary admitted that she is just the servant of God not mother nor queen.

I do not think that Mary would say that she is the Queen of Heaven and Mother of God: I think that God (all three persons of the Trinity) would say it instead. Mary is too modest to say such things. And if God would dare to say that Mary is the Mother of God, God would not send Himself to Hell.
By the way, Orthodox Christians also believe that Mary is the Mother of God ("Theotokos" in Greek). It's not just Catholics.

Not a catholic, but do you really think Jesus is going to send is mother to hell?
Seriously, He gives up His own life to pay the price for sin and overcome physical death. He loves the world that much, and then He is going to turn around and send His mother to hell? I just don't see it happening.
Why would someone so full of love do something like that to His mother?

What do you think Jesus meant when He said "whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in Heaven"?
Jesus promised that The Holy Spirit would guide the Church to the end of time.

The Blessed Virgin Mary would never make such a proclamation ... and she would never need to.
Jesus has already proclaimed his mother's rightful place, through his written word and through his church, and before all the angels and saints, just as he will for all who overcome the world through his grace, and who successfully make it into heaven.
Jesus is the eternal king of the house of David, and Mary is his mother ... the Queen Mother of that same royal house.
Under the tradition first established under Solomon, the role of the Queen Mother was to intercede with the king, on behalf of the people. (See 1st Kings 2:19)
A substantial amount of honor, power, and authority accompanied that royal position when it was based on earth. Now that it has been translated to the heavenly realm, under the divine rule of Jesus, the Immortal King of the Ages, we can only imagine.
The scriptures are also very clear on this point.
Mary, now fully perfected by God's grace and power, is simply performing the role that God always had in mind for her, from eternity ... the very same role that he also had in mind for everyone who chooses to similarly cooperate with his grace.
Mary constitutes God's ideal "model" for every human being. And rightly so, as God created Mary not only to be Jesus' mother, but also to be his first, best, and most constant disciple.
God expects each and every one of us to say "yes" to him, just as humbly and completely as did Mary.
The authentic church has always rightly understood these things, from the earliest days.
It's those who follow their own cleverly crafted, and often theologically bankrupt, late day faith traditions, who fail to get the point.
The Catholic Church explains it very clearly, in this excerpt from the official document, "MUNIFICENTISSIMUS DEUS"
written by Pope Pius XII
________________________________________
40. Hence the revered Mother of God, from all eternity joined in a hidden way with Jesus Christ in one and the same decree of predestination,[47] immaculate in her conception, a most perfect virgin in her divine motherhood, the noble associate of the divine Redeemer who has won a complete triumph over sin and its consequences, finally obtained, as the supreme culmination of her privileges, that she should be preserved free from the corruption of the tomb and that, like her own Son, having overcome death, she might be taken up body and soul to the glory of heaven where, as Queen, she sits in splendor at the right hand of her Son, the immortal King of the Ages.[48]
41. Since the universal Church, within which dwells the Spirit of Truth who infallibly directs it toward an ever more perfect knowledge of the revealed truths, has expressed its own belief many times over the course of the centuries, and since the bishops of the entire world are almost unanimously petitioning that the truth of the bodily Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven should be defined as a dogma of divine and Catholic faith-this truth which is based on the Sacred Writings, which is thoroughly rooted in the minds of the faithful, which has been approved in ecclesiastical worship from the most remote times, which is completely in harmony with the other revealed truths, and which has been expounded and explained magnificently in the work, the science, and the wisdom of the theologians-we believe that the moment appointed in the plan of divine providence for the solemn proclamation of this outstanding privilege of the Virgin Mary has already arrived.

The Blessed Mother was conceived without the stain of mortal sin on her soul so that she could carry Our Lord in her. Mary is the Immaculate Conception, not Jesus. When the stain of sin was wiped out by her Son's death, not only did he buy your and my way into heaven but hers as well.
Since God is One in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, seems to me that since she gave birth to the Son, she is the Mother of God.
Have you ever asked anyone, a buddy, a family member to pray for you? Has anyone ever asked you to pray for them. It's the same thing as when we ask Mary to "pray for us, now and at the hour of our death." in the Rosary.
At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out. Mary told her Son, did not request, but told her son to fix it. He said "My time has not yet come." She told him to fix it...and in obedience to his Blessed Mother, he changed water into wine. Check your Bible.
The Blessed Mother has nothing to worry about but we do.
