Yes, I felt bad for Boris but his car was in qualifying set-up. He would have had a tough time at the start of the race since this was an impound race. NASCAR has the rain rule as it is due to if they would have let the rest of the cars qualify the following morning it would not be fair. The track and air temperatures would have been different which could have been a major advantage or disadvantage to the remaining drivers and to those who had already qualified. Boris is a great race car driver no matter what kind of car he may be in that week.

Boris is a racers racer. One of the true handful that can race any car.
His quilifing run at Daytona was one of the best runs that I've seen and getting the pole was great. But with the rains(typical for Florida this time of the year) NASCAR fell back on the rules. This knocked out 4 or 5 cars that had very good quailifing runs and sent them home.Do the rules need to be changed no.Should there be an alternate quailifing plan when over 75% of the field had attemted quailifing, yes. But until NASCAR sees this it will remain the same.
But wait til next time and watch BORIS run.

Just think, that they all were on qualifying setups and then all the guys with race setups were in the back, so just think about how many cautions would have came though. I do feel for Boris Said, as they spent alot of money on this last regular car for the restictor plate race and its just now a show car, and just think, if they had started qualifying an hour or two earlier and none of this would have happened. Just think that it would have been that easy and they would have missed the rain completely, but unfortunately we cant control mother nature and my driver started on the POLE..

Yes, it sucks that Boris didn't get to race. To have the pole like that and end up having to go home because of rain is just wrong.

I felt so bad for Boris and Mikey. I watched qualifying and saw that the 14 fastest car was bumped out on time. That is amazing. Then I left and found out later that night that the rain had stopped qualifying. I couldn't believe it. I know that's the rule, but I was visibly shocked. But it did help my fantasy team. One of my friends had no C group becuase he had picked Said and Walrtip.

Poor Boris can't catch a break. I felt really bad for him. He would have probably been on the pole again like last year. They really need to change that rule.

I did being a fan of the said head bunch, but those are the rules that have been for a long long time in most form of auto racing so I'm sure he didn't like it but knew it could happen and did.
