well...make an effort to pack lunch -some whole wheat wraps or pita pockets or regular bread with grilled chicken and veggies, take some fruit with you (banana, apple, orange), some trail mix, whole grain cereal for snacks and water
in fast food places you can always get salad with grilled chicken and no dressing or on the side, fruit salad, fruit parfait - look at nutrition info for fast food menus.

Get a small cooler and some of the blue ice bars. You will be able to pack the things you like safely. Also get a food thermos so you can keep hot foods.
With the 12 hour shifts preparation is going to be a problem. What I do is make double when I cook and pack the leftovers. Eating the same thing two meals in a row is difficult for some people. But if you have little free time, it is the easiest way to eat healthy. If there is a cafeteria nearby, you can buy takeouts there to pack for your lunch. Just put it in your thermos.

how about stuff you can set up ahead of time, in bulk?
like, dried fruit. peanuts or cashews, punkin seeds ; ) , pretzels are good TideYouOver type fare.
Pepperidge Farm GoldFish are Delicious.. (maybe not so healthy , tho.. ) make your own personalized trail mix..
and if your car doesn't ever get too hot inside while youre on shift, .. then F worrying about "healthy "for a quicksecond, and throw in a little bag of MnM's,into that trailmix.they make you happy when you, unexpectedly find one in your mouth. :D
they have those granola bars , and they also have -in with the breakfast stuff, some Surrrriously yummy Cereal Bars.
I'm a lazyass wife, so my husband makes himself a PBJ in the morning and brings a banana and a muffin to work with him every morning.
how about.. get a little cooler(thats what he's got), that fits in your fridge when you're at home and that you can keep on the passengers side floor ,while you're working. .
you could keep fruit in there.
and when you were ambitious the night before , you might even find a Balony Sandwich in there , once in a while.. They are easy to make, and as long as you don't put your condiments on until the last minute (save your fast food condiment packets ; ) the bread won't get soggy. (Jelly the night before WILL make bread soggy-this i know...)
if you've gotthe cooler ,you could probably have things like Yogurt in there, too.
i'd throw a couple-few of bottled waters in there , too. maybe have one or two frozen, so it acts as the ice for the cooler , until it thaws out and you can drink it. don't care for plain water? how 'bout Gatorade?
You might consider taking a multi vitamin.
The One A Days are about the size of an Advil, if you are like me, That goes a Long Way.
( mini VitaminRanthere...I HATE those HorsePills they call vitamins.
I'd rather have them half the size and need to take 2.and just breaking them in half sTill leaves jaggedy edges. k -i'm done... )
Yikes! Gotta Go,
Take Care,

I think most fast food places still have salads no? If not, maybe try to get some sort of sandwich or grilled chicken burger rather than a regular one.
Or you can keep some Balance bars or other nutritious bars or nuts or other nutritious snacks in your car. Or maybe you can even keep a box of cereal and bowl and just stop by a 7-11 for some milk?

It is difficult, isn't it. Even when I go on a tour, it is difficult to eat like at home.
You still can stick close to your healthy lifestyle. If only fast foods are the only ones opened, eat the healthier food and eat from your packed basket of fruits and nuts.
To be really healthy, cut down your simple carbs and eat more veggies and lean meat.
I hope my suggestion is useful to you.

Pack your meals. PB&J on whole wheat bread, fresh carrot and celery sticks (good for crunching on long drives), water and real fruit juice to drink, granola bars (some are high in fat and sugar, so be choosey and read labels), cherry tomatoes, string cheese, and Shredded Mini-Wheat cereal are all good choices. Packing saves your wallet, too.
