It could be either. You'd better just see the doctor tomorrow before it gets worse.

It sounds more like a UTI (uninary tract infection). Kidney stone pain would have started in your lower back/side as the stone made it's way out of your kidney. Either way a doctor is needed for treatment. A urine test will confirm the infection or the stone (microscopic blood in the urine from the stone passing). To help minimize the burning and kill some of the bacteria you can drink cranberry juice until you get antibiotics from the doctor. It won't cure the infection but will keep the bacteria level lower which will reduce some of the burning when you urinate. Make sure you get to a doctor today - the pain will get worse as the infection gets worse.

This sounds more like a bladder infection but the only way to know for sure is to have this evaluated by your dr to see what they think is going on.

For kidney stone, one way you can tell is if you get pain in the lower part of your back that is called the flank. Also, when one urinates there can also be blood that comes out and this can sometimes indicate a kidney stone.

More than likely an infection and the only way to get
rid of it is by a course of antibiotics, these you will get by
going to see your doctor now.In the mean time drink plenty of water. Before you do see doc take a sample of your urine with you,any clean small bottle will do.Ring for appointment now.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
