okay so the modern day religions are called correct and blah blah blah. but they cant be proven, what about all of the greek/roman mythology and other mythologies?, who are we to say that it was not correct. we only believe in our religion because our parents told us to and it was drilled into us. Think about it, who are we to say what a real or phony religion is. tell me what you think.
the only freaking reason you even believe in a god, or angels is because you were taught it. if you lived 10,000 years ago would you be monotheistic, no, would you believe in one god and angels and all the bible stories, no!!!! romans studied gods and claimed to have found peace with their gods, so dont play that: you have to study god card on me. I am all fro you practicing your religion and will die for you right to do so, but can you see my point? do you have a retatiation?

religion is a book club that has gotten too serious. if there was no religion there would be less wars and death. as far as im concerned the only people who suppord religion are insecure, gullable, idiots. if i was to say to you that 2000 years ago there was a carpenter with superpowers and only 1 natural parent, would you believe me?
if you wonna report me for insighting racial hatred, go ahead, im just posting my view just like you do everyday when i get people knocking on my door preaching **** to me.

I do actually. Although the pagan and polytheistic religions were more widespread, there WERE still people who believed in one God.
And there are plenty of people who believe in religions they weren't taught. My husband was raised by an atheist, and he was an atheist himself until five years ago. Now he's agnostic, leaning towards Christianity.
And who's to say whether a person would have been monotheistic 10,000 years ago or not? If I was the same person, YES, I would have been, with or without the Bible.
If the Bible isn't true, why is there so much historical and archaeological evidence to corroborate it? And I'm not talking about certain locations, like Egypt, actually existing. There are many places mentioned in the Bible that were thought to not exist. But they did. Archaeologists used to believe that the story of Joshua and Jericho didn't happen as the Bible said it did. However, all the evidence points to the idea that it DID.
You asked my opinion, I gave it to you.

It's hard for me to call myself a good Christian as I sin many times a day and don't read the Bible as much as I should. But I still love God and pray everyday. I totally agree with you in the fact that we have no right to say which religion is real or phony. We have to purely base this on what we feel is right for ourselves. There is no way to know which one is right until "that time", whether it be the rapture, or the end of the world, or some other event that brings us to an afterlife, if you even believe in an afterlife. You are also correct when you say that the only reason we believe in God and our specific religion is because our parents did. But I haven't rejected it because I agree with it and I, myself, desire to follow it, not because of my parents or society. But without being introduced to it as a child I may be Buddhist or Atheist, you never know. But I believe in fate and that I was born into a Christian family because Christianity is the religion I was destined to follow. I cannot say for certain which religion is right or that everyone should convert to Christianity because I think it's right. Everyone must find which religion (or lack therof) is right for them and there is no way to know if we chose correctly until we die. But God is going to be there whether we choose to believe in him or not. The way I see it is you might as well believe in something because there is a chance that your religion will be the "right" one or the one that leads to a happy eternity... heaven, or whatever may follow our lives on Earth.

Hi Sweetie,
I believe that everyone is entitled to believe what they want to, however your always going to have those closed minded Neanderthals who will never open their eyes to the possiblities that there are other views and possiblities out there other than their own.
For the most part I will agree with you on the fact that most of what we believe we got from our parents, but I also agree with the fact that humans change their opinions and beliefs alot.
Who is to say there is a right or wrong reply to this question.?

I find the best way to find out the truth is by attaining knowledge. Not just in a religious sense, though when one truly attains knowledge it soon comes to realization that all truths point to Allah (God). And was not raised on the beliefs I currently hold... but found them through seeking the truth through logical means. I read many religious books, as well as scientific ones. Though the only one I found to be flawless (yes flawless and perfect in every way) is the Qur'an. So one who has knowledge can easily discern the true path from those that are false. There is no compulsion in religion! Allah (God) knows best!

You keep saying we believe only because our parents did. That is a bunch of nonsense. People change their faith all the time because they find something in it that makes them better people.
I believe in God because of the Spirit revealed to me it was real.
Your point is absurd because you premise the point on a lie. Until you fix that there is no way to see your point because its not true.

wherever is no light there is darkness. Wherever is no true message of God Almighty there were idols for worship. God is one and only, the creator of everything that exists. Rest are false gods who were man created.
