Is it the inside or the outside of your lip? If it's the inside then rinse with salt water. The sores inside hurt a lot worse before they get better, but they usually get better in 7-10 days. If it is the outside of your lip and it is getting worse, you may want to go to a doctor as it could be infected.

I am assuming the cut is on the inside of your lip.

Rinse your mouth with Hydrogen Peroxide 3%; mix it with some water according to the instructions on the bottle.

Having the Orthodontist put some wax on your top braces could help.

Maybe you could get some of that wax from the orthodontist which is for putting on blisters or sharp bits of your brace cutting you! Maybe that would help! Anyway hope you feel better soon that sounds so sore x x x x x x x x

It is probably still rubbing on your teeth when chewing or any other mouth motions. I would suggest getting some mouth wax to put on the part of your braces or tooth that did cut you so that it does have a chance to heal. You could get this stuff from your dentist, orthodontist, or a store like Wal-mart, Target, K-mart or any other drug store.

if it is in the inside of the mouth use a product called orabase. this works wonders and numbs the sore so you can eat what you want.

chapstick, normally helps sooth it, if its infected a doctor would be good, and neosporin seems to help alot with cuts and bruises so try that as well.
