So according to thier logic, if some told me unicorns existed, i should believe them? Or does this logic only apply to claims that threaten you for not believing them?

If God could be proven to you, what would be the point. God requires faith in the worship of him. All that we Christians are bound to do, is bear witness of the Good News. Whether one decides to listen with his heart is up to them. As for those 'christians' who threaten with Hell, they are deluded and have become proud in their own eyes.

Pascal's wager:

"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"

This is, of course, false.

Some of the problems with the argument:

* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)

* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell

* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else

* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.

* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (some people pray several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.

* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?

* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

We Humans are the most complex machinery ever created by whom?
The Sky is awesome in beauty with miraculous changes of conditions.
The Earth is filled with many abundances of Life.
With everything fitting together and working together to keep this universe is spectacular harmony, how can we even question the existence of God and Jesus?
It amazes me that the Spirit of God does not talk to everyone but it also tells me that many people do not know God.
To play a guitar, we must have faith that we can and practice.
To go to college, we must have faith that we can and study.
To be a Doctor, we must have faith that we can and do it.
Faith, Love, Prayer. Study about Jesus and his life on this earth and then with anything that you ever do in life, ask yourself first, "What would Jesus do in this situation?"
Then you will be the best person whom you can be.

Try this for logic:

Let's assume you are really, really smart and that you know 99% of everything there is to know about everything. What if the Creator of the Universe decided to reside in the 1% you didn't know?

What about the fact that every single person alive who is not mentally retarted (seriously) believes in some form of a "Higher Power?" Does that not "logically" lead you to believe that there is one?

I know God is real for many reasons, none of which would satisfy you intellectually, but the one thing that should make sense to you is that you didn't create yourself, so who did?

Does God exist? To state with certainty that there is no God, a person has to ignore the passion of an enormously vast number of people who are convinced that there is a God.
This is not to say that if enough people believe something it is therefore true. Scientists, for example, have discovered new truths about the universe which overruled previous conclusions. But as science has progressed, no scientific discovery has countered the numerical likelihood of an intelligent mind being behind it all. In fact, the more science discovers about human life and the universe, the more complex and precisely designed we realize these to be. Rather than pointing away from God, evidence mounts further toward an intelligent source. But objective evidence is not all.

There is a much larger issue. Throughout history, billions of people in the world have attested to their firm, core convictions about God's existence--arrived at from their subjective, personal relationship with God. Millions today could give detailed account of their experience with God. They would point to answered prayer and specific, amazing ways God has met their needs, and guided them through important personal decisions. They would offer, not only a description of their beliefs, but detailed reports of God's actions in their lives. Many are sure that a loving God exists and has shown himself to be faithful to them. If you are a skeptic, can you say with certainty: "I am absolutely right and they all are wrong about God"?

you're missing the point. The witness of the believer is evidence of God.

I know that God exists because the Spirit has told me so. Why should I believe you when I have received such a witness? Why should I not beleive in God when everything around me testifies of Him?

look at your hands. your feet. your parents, your children. All testify of the existance of God.

I know God lives because of my experience with Him. The miracles ive seen and been part of. Why the heck do you expect me or anyone else to provide you with the evidence you dont bother searching for. believe us or not. It doesnt make our testimony any less true.

And you dont even have to take my word for it. You can find out for yourself if you just tried to put in alittle of effort. If you wait around for someoen to hand you anything youll never get anything. No wonder you are disappointed.

Unicorns would have left behind some sort of physical evidence (fossil records, droppings, etc.). God does not.

If you have science and logic as your tools, you can't possibly use them to try to say that God doesn't exist either.

There is proof in Jesus Christ...not unicorns. We want you to believe in God because eternity is a long time. Jesus told us to preach the gospel. We care about others...yes, even non-Christians. Why gamble eternity for 70 or 80 years?

Yes, that is correct. By the way, I am an omnipotent God and my word is holy law. You are being corrupted by your earthly possessions, ship them to me for only I can brave their destructive power. Plasma TVs, laptops, and sports cars especially.
