okay so the modern day religions are called correct and blah blah blah. but they cant be proven, what about all of the greek/roman mythology and other mythologies?, who are we to say that it was not correct. we only believe in our religion because our parents told us to and it was drilled into us. Think about it, who are we to say what a real or phony religion is. tell me what you think.

people, mainly the idiot catholic, are not getting me. the only freaking reason you even believe in a god, or angel is because you were taught it. if you lived 10,000s years ago would you be monotheistic, no, would you believe in one god and angels and all the bible stories, no!!!! romans studied gods and claimed to have found peace with their gods, so dont play that: you have to study god card on me.

You got it...who are we and who are they...There is no one who can say this is correct and that isn't correct. I mean, I have never seen an alien, but can I say they don't exist? No, I can't....we don't know of other places like our earth, but most believe there is another planet like ours....

I would suggest looking for scholarly works that delve into the questions you raise. I highly suspect those materials exist arguing both sides of the argument. I don't have allot of time Right now but I will part by saying that because some religions may be proven wrong doesn't mean they all are. People are and have been wrong on many issues besides faith. Does that stop the truth from existing. Does my lack of knowledge about gravity or misconceptions about it stop it from existing? So if truth does exist then existence of error or misunderstanding doesn't eradicate it or make it any less likely.

Those old religions live on in the Neo-Pagan movement. There are many that perform rituals to Zeus or Thor, but many more focus on the Goddesses like Hertha or Diana. It's all good. At least they don't go around trying to convert people and being dangerous pest like the kinds of religions in the news. They don't care who you worship so long as you don't hassle them, and most are more than happy to tell you about it if you're interested.

Blessed Be.

My mom (who raised me) is not a Christian and therefore my religion was not "drilled" into me by anyone.

As to your point, you are largely right. That is why I do not mock any gods. I do not mock Zeus. I do not mock Allah or Muhammad. I do not mock Buddha or Moses. I may not agree with those people, and I may think the mythologies of Greece to be wrong, but I do not mock them and insult people who believe in them.

There are all sorts of belief systems in the world today. Some pre-date Christianity. I agree with you completely. Who am I to say that someone elses religion is wrong? If it is right for them then God/Goddess Bless!

Its very hard for someone who has never had revelation from God to understand but after you have been given a witness by the Holy Ghost you know of a surety that Jesus Christ does exist.

I think that if you truly feel you have a religion because your parents drilled it into you, then you're not truly from the religion you claim to be.
I don't say the religions are not correct, I just don't believe in them.

All religions should be respected. We have the right to choose which religion we believe, but we must still respect those which we do not believe in. FREEDOM OF RELIGION!

well done, right on sister, this is what iv been telling people for ages. most people who believe in jesus dont actually believe that 2000 years ago there was a carpenter with super power and only one natural parent, they are forced into "believing" by their parents or church.

We don't really have much to say about it at all. God does.

You really havent searched much if you think the only reason people believe is because their parents did. many people believe because they have studied for themselves and sought the truth from God.
