my dog is 8 1/2 years old and looks still healthy to me but someone told me that they dont live more than 9 years and if they do their eyes fall out???????

Whoever told you their eyes fall out doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. Do elderly people's eyes fall out when they get old? LOL! It really depends on your dogs health and how they've been taken care of. If your dog is healthy at this age , then I'm sure you have a few more years left to go. Don't stress about it.

Hi phoenix. eye's fall out ?? Rubbish. A dog's life span varies. Usually the smaller dogs have a greater life expectancy than larger breeds

no its not about 12 - 14 years, tells you about them. But to be honest every dog is different. You should have many more happy years together.

No....This breed lives 10 - 15 years and their eyes do not fall out.

With healthy dogs, about 10-15 years.
longer if you take extremely good care of it =]
regular vet visits proper exercise and a healthy diest should keep your dog up and running for many years to come

Listen not to fools because they are, well, fools. Expected life span is in excess of 14 years. My mother's is somewhere around 18 now.

That's about right - though the rare bulldog can live to about 12.

Not true my granma has three of them and one of them lived for 17 years. there names were ming , muffy and susie.
