Why is it not OK to have a whole blood transfusion, yet it is acceptable to have a transfusion of blood fractions?

If blood is sacred, then isn't it still just as sacred when it is split into fractions?

I don't see the logic in this. I was brough up as a JW, so I do know the reasons JW's have for refusing blood. However as far as I can see, either it's acceptable to take blood or it's not. I fail to see how splitting the blood into fractions changes anything.

Line Dancer: One of the last meetings I went to, about 3 years ago - it was stated from the platform that it was ok to accept transfusions of fractions.

there is no logic in this....that is why you can not get a good answer to your question....Maybe when they reprint their bible there will be scriptural proof, but as of now, The WBTS makes up the rules as they go along.

Is touching a shittah tree or a simple metal like gold a sin?

Certainly not, but when put together Israel created the Ark of the Covenant which was a symbol of God's presents with his people and not to be touched or used improperly.

The same is with blood. It symbolizes God's gift of life and is not to be handled but rather 'poured on to the ground' or dispose of.

However, When Israels enemy's removed the Ark from Israel and likely melted it down it no longer was a symbol.

The same applies to blood when blood is broken down into parts it is no longer classified as blood then it no longer has it's symbolism of life.

Is blood sacred in fractions?

When you take something apart and then take the parts apart and take apart what is left over you are left with something that does not resemble or equal to all its parts together.

One of my friends is an ex jehovahs Witness and she said that while the church said it was okay to get the plasma or something of that sort she would refuse any kind of blood transfusion unless it was that blood that the Japanese have invented that is artificial and really isn't blood so much as it's like a car's spare tire.

JWs need to get a real bible.
People need salvation from Jesus (forgiveness of sin):
Romans 10
a blood transfusion won't stop someone from being saved and stopping a transfusion won't redeem a person from sin.

The Society does not endorse any of the modern medical uses of blood, such as the uses of blood in connection with inoculations. Inoculation is, however, a virtually unavoidable circumstance in some segments of society, and so we leave it up to the conscience of the individual to determine whether to submit to inoculation with a serum containing blood fractions for the purpose of building up antibodies to fight against disease. If a person did this, he may derive comfort under the circumstances from the fact that he is not directly eating blood, which is expressly forbidden in God’s Word. It is not used for food or to replace lost blood. Here the Christian must make his own decision based on conscience. Therefore, whether a Christian will submit to inoculation with a serum, or whether doctors or nurses who are Christians will administer such, is for personal decision.

Attn. Anna. Why do you gravitate to questions about Jehovah's Witnesses? Do you derive some sick pleasure from watching others challenge our beliefs? What's your game?

Tash, you are correct. But still, it is a personal decision.

Anna, get a life.

Anna, I stand by what I said. You and others find pleasure in trying to make us look bad. This forum is for the purpose of exchanging thoughts and ideas. When it comes to questions that are directed toward Jehovah's Witnesses, you and a handfull of others use that as an opportunity to slam us. Why? What terrible thing have we done to you? I disagree with a lot of the comments of people on this forum, but I don't target any particular religion for the purpose of trying to ridicule or slander them. You and others actually search for questions about JW's so you can leave negative remarks about us. Maybe one day you can explain to me why we seem to bring out the worst in you.

lol @ linedancer proving my point....

Is blood sacred in fractions?
----

linedancer seems to me that you emailed me for answering a question about what Christians believe about God becoming Jesus because I said John 1:1 makes sense.... so I really don't see your point. But, I do know that you can read and we would like to know if blood is sacred in fractions please?
ty!
ps- can't we just get along? please? :o) you don't have to agree with me, but you really shouldn't tell me to "get a life"
whoa there mister... I do NOT try to make you look bad, and I definitely do not slander. I AM trying to show you what your eyes do not see and ears do not hear.
