My dad comes to visit us and stays with us most of the time. He doesn't like my husband, and always tries to find anything to start a fight. Sometimes he just gets angry for no reason. I did my best to please him, buy him things he likes, take him to all kinds of places. But seems like he can never be satisfied. He abuses my mom very often, verbal abuses, hit her, many times. Don't know if this is already considered domestic violence. My mom told me once he tried to push her to the road while all the cars were passing by. He also uses knife at my home to threaten my mom, and threatens to kill my family including my daughters, threatens to set my house on fire...... What should I do now, should I call police? He is a leagal perment resident, will he get deported?

What kind of question is that?
Your father beats your mother and abuses her and you ask if this is considered domestic violence?? What else must happen to your mom before you react? Kill her??
If you don´t care about your own security and your own life, at lease take care of your children's security and life!!
You might be used to live like this, as I am sure your father has been always the same way, but your children should grow up in a loving and safe family.
Also think of your husband, do you think he deserves your fathers behaviour?
Call the police and also it hurts, your father should be in jail or in a clinic and not in the street.

I hate people like this! NO MAN should EVER hit a woman or threaten to kill anyone. I say Call the police because you don't know how sick he is he might go though with murdering your daughters one day and you will be regreting it for the rest of your life!

I m not the best person to answers this and u already got answers--call the cops- but before they take action-if ur dads with u or visiting u--try and lace some of his food with sedatives and anti depressants but ask ur family doctors what the safe dose is and is it alrite--i think u shd talk to a family counsellor or a therapist-i cant belive ur even sittin here and going thru the answers-dont waste time-dont panic tho but think calmly but seriously-i think u have gotta take action now--he looks like a maniac-i dunno where its stemming from--but he has gotta b taken care of by a doc or a physcriatrist-the sooner the better-but who will bell the cat

CALL THE COPS NOW!!! If your family is being threatened you need to make him stop asap. If he's a leagal resident they can't deport him. But they can stop him from hurting you and those you care about

You should immediately seek legal shelter. If you are delaying the same, you will be inviting more trouble to you and your family. Such type of persons cannot be corrected by gifts and toys ' Laton ke bhoot bathon se nahi mante'. If he is getting the right price of his deeds he will act normal,otherwise,his courage will get a boost because of your inaction. So don't waste your time and happiness to make a compromise with him. Let him go to hell if he can't behave like a father.

you should call the police when he is not home and just have the police stay at your house till he comes back and when he comes back they will take him away from you family and they can't deport but he will be given orders from the court to stay from your family and mother

Most of them have asked u to take ur dad to the cops...Do u think it helps ...definitely no......he is suffering with mental problems ...before taking a decision see why he behaves like that.....what ever u have mentioned is not normal activity.... so better take him to a psychiatrist.... this is the best thing u can do... and act immediately......he needs psychiatric help.

have ur mom come and stay with you dont let him over call the poliece and put a restaining order on him if i were you try to get devorice papers 4 ur mom i am sorry to here about that and i wish you good luck be carefull!
