I wake up many mornings with slight 'Skin Irritations' on my right Thigh area from sleeping on One Side all night. Can not sleep on my back, stomach or my right side at all.

But I'm afraid if I let this 'Irritation' persist morning after morning. Week after week. Month after month......one of these years, my Thigh Irritatates could turn Deep-Under-the-Skin Cancer if I don't stop it.
Yes. My bed is Softened with a Foam under neith but still wake up Sore.

Your biggest danger will probably be degraded tissue and possibly bedsore-type lesions, but skin cancer is, I believe, so remote a chance as to be nearly impossible, at least from sleeping on your side.

Skin cancer starts for various reasons, but as far as I can remember, I have never, ever heard of it stemming from simple repeated contact and irritation of an area. Almost all skin cancer, at least in industrialized nations, comes from overexposure to the sun or to some sort of carcinogen, not from contact irritation. The only exception to that is Kaposi's Sarcoma, which is a very distinct type of skin cancer which tends to affect males with AIDS and elderly gentlemen of Italian descent. And even that isn't related at all to contact with something--it's related to genetic changes and, obviously, the hazards of a suppressed immune system.

You might want to check with your doctor and find out if there is anything you can apply topically to help the tissues in the area, and soothe the irritation. But I wouldn't worry about skin cancer too much, unless you have a terrible habit of suntanning outside every single day for hours on end ;) Having read your bio, it is entirely possible that you might spend a lot of time outside checking the weather, so just remember to wear your sunscreen.

Best of luck.

No, of course not! What you are experiencing is a bit like a bed sore, a bit like chafing. It's kind of like running in shorts that are too tight... if the fabric is pressed up against you for too long, it will create a raw/irritated spot.

But it most definitely will NOT cause cancer. Cancer is a mutation of cells, and all you've got is a rash of sorts.

No, I don't think it would cause skin cancer. Sleep in some soft, like flannel, pajama bottoms (or silk) to soothe your skin in that area. Or think about buying much better sheets. The higher the thread count the softer the fabric is.

No way!! The only real cause of skin cancer is sun damage.
