I don't feel I have to look to hard at myself. I believe their father my ex was abusive and taught them this behaviour. I suffer because of my ex and so do my kids lives.

Your kids are young adults now. Yes you are their mother of course they feel something towards you. They love you. Even if they have been taught differently you now have a chance to set it right.
Whatever happened in the past do not hold that against them. They may be waiting for you to do something wrong. Don't give it to them. They want to love you and now as young adults they can think for themselves. Let them want to be part of your life. Be as good as possible and then be better because the children you gave life to are hoping for a loving relationship with their MOM.

It only needs to start small and then build from there. These are your babies. They have a opinion now. They are worth it.
You are worth it.
God Bless!
I say Pray for all of you before you go to see them.

boy, there's never been a concept fathomable on giving up kids just because they hate you. you're their parent, they are your children. children hate their parents at one time or another, whether your'e there or away, it's quite natural for them to hate parents for whatever reasons they want to hate you for. but the response of 'giving up on them' is never appropriate nor acceptable nor responsible -, it's ridiculous! you're just pulling yourselves apart. try a little harder. you will if you care enough. but then, why don't you ask yourself why they hate you in the first place, maybe there's some reason there, and so work around on the reasons and try to make up for it. they will see that you're trying and what children wouldn't be soften by a contrite heart. good luck!

If I thought my kids hated me, I would take a good hard look at my behavior and try to change it. You are the adult, no matter how old they are. Fix yourself. You aren't allowed to give up on your children.

No, absolutely not! They are still your children whether they want to be or not. Do not give up on them. Sometimes kids just act like that to look cool because they are afraid of disappointment. They think you're going to turn your back on them and so they're staying tough so it won't hurt as bad if you do abandon them. Just let them know that you're always going to be there whether they want you to be or not.
