Looks good so far. I am getting a bit of an Asian feel from this room. Maybe wall decor like any of these?

framing may get pricey?

or maybe two small mirrors if you feel it needs to be more open? I know you said the room is on the smaller size side and the best way to give the illusion of depth and openness is with mirrors.

Or you could always take some photos outside of different flowers and print them out in different sizes and buy a bunch of different sized frames to put them in. Then hang on the walls on both sides of the window. Someting like these http://www.ogphoto.com/english/prints_flowers.html

If you own... Paint. If you don't, than you need some pictures, the first answer was right with an oriental theme, and instead of an area rug ( rugs in a dining room don't make sense) use a floor cloth. You can make your own and decorate it to match the pictures you choose orthe place mats you have. Here's a few links as to what a floor cloth is and some links as to how to make you own. If you can't paint your wall but still want some drama you can hang fabric floor to ceiling the whole length of one wall, or you can buy fabric, enough for one wall, but some starch and use the fabric like a wallpaper. The neat thing about this trick is that it is completely removable with absolutly no damage to the wall. Just grab a corner and peel off when you need to change it or move.

Place the table lengthwise as you show in the middle of the bottom row of pictures. The drapery should go to the floor and not stop at the sill and you don't need to use a tablecloth and placemats...choose one or the other. On the wall on either side of the window a couple of single candle sconces would add interest (and a nice glow at night) without being too much. I couldn't see the floor but a rug in coordinating colors under the table and chairs would really pull it together.

Are you a renter? If so, your possibilities are limited, but not all together gone!

If you are an owner...you have HUGE potential!!!!! From wall color to accessories, you can create a room out of this world!

I am a interior decorator that specializes in faux finishes....let me know if you are a renter or owner and I can guide you with some ideas either way!!!! This is totally because I want to help.....not for any monetary rewards or sending you to a "retail outlet"!!!

Great room!!! SO many possibilities!!!!
