Don't. I was born here and never heard the term till now. Letting the cat out of the bag might be a better term. It seems similar and essentially means to let a secret be known.
Tell Kim Jong Il to cool it with the nukes...

To spill one's secret causing that person to be in trouble. Look also blow the whistle.
