I think the Hindus have solved the question very elegantly. You know how some people like apples and other prefer pears? Well, its the same with deities. I may like Hanuman and you may like Vishnu but we know both are fruits in their essential nature.
Where do they live? I think they exist everywhere and above all, in the hearts of man, showing himself the tip of his ability which he will reach one day. They set an example for our spiritual development.

They are Bhagvans and not Devtas - Dev Tatva is present in all the living beings but Bhagwan is the supreme where only Ananda is there and nothing else. I hope I have been able to reply in two words - a subject which has crores and rores of Bokks and commentaries written on the subject.
Blessings

God is considered to possess 16 kalas. Each saint or sadhu or partial avatars like "Macha, Kurma, Varaha and Narahari depicts a few kalas. They are not Purna Avatars, Shri Krishna is Paripurna avatar. Shri Rama with all the brothers constitute "full" though Rama exhibited more human tendencies than Divine. Subsequent to Krishna, Sai Avatars took place . Shirdi Sai Baba (1835-1918) is considered as an incarnation of "Shiva". Sathya Sai Baba (1926- ) is being considered as an Avatar of "Shivasakthi combined and the one to come as Prema Sai Baba in Mysore Dt after the ascent of Sathya Sai Baba who has predicted that He will live upto his 96th age. Hence we are all not competant to judge about Saints , sages and Avatars. Only if we rise to such levels we can pronounce our judgements.

Bhagavan, also written Bhagwan or Bhagawan, from the Sanskrit nt-stem bhaga-vant- literally means "possessing fortune, wealthy, prosperous" (from the noun bhaga, meaning "fortune, wealth", cognate to Slavic bog "god") , and hence "glorious, divine, venerable, holy", etc.
In some traditions of Hinduism it is used to indicate the Supreme Being or Absolute Truth, but with specific reference to that Supreme Being as possessing a personality (a personal God). This personal feature indicated in Bhagavan differentiates its usage from other similar terms such as Brahman, the 'Supreme Spirit' or 'spirit', and thus, in this usage.
Bhagavan is used as title of veneration and is often translated as "Lord" as in "Bhagavan Krishna", "Bhagavan Shiva", "Bhagavan Swaminarayan". Living Holy persons, possessing the super qualities and becomes worshipful are also addressed as Bhagawan Sri Sai Baba, etc.

Hanuman...Ha-nu-man, the Yes Saying mind is one of the attributes of the son of the Wind... Whatsoever God...Rama...wills, Hanuman is ready to oblige...Rama is an incarnation of Narayana or Mahavishnu, the Preserver, and so his work is continuous in preserving this world...if His work is finished, then we would stop to exist...man and his world are constantly Evolving. Hanuman, gives us the strength to say Yes or to accept what God brings into our experience...the Now...our Karma...and deal with it in dignity, respect and patience. That is why it is said that as long as man lives in his ignorance, Hanuman will exist giving strength to all of God's devotees...and so he still lives in this existence helping His devotees.

I admit to not understanding all of your question, but I've heard about Sai Baba and he lives, I think, in India.
It would be very easy to search this on Google.

There is no scientific proof that Hanumanji (Monkey God/Bhajrangboli), Vishnu exist. They exist in peoples mind. It is all Mythology. They are not Gods cannot be God. if some one believes them that is fine with me. Religion is based on belief not Scientific existence.
