Calm down and take it in one at a time. You are much more effecient when your mind is clear of negative thoughts. Maybe you should put the job searching aside for now. Working makes school that much harder.

I am totally hearing you sister. I feel that way too and I am not working to attend a cometitive university. But the stress is the same. I want to succeed and will. I have seven kids from ages 17 to 3 months. I am super old and live on a serious budget. I am single and have only the goverment to rely on for support for now. I live in a rather small unit with all my kids and this is where i study, do my work, research, test, whatever it is for school, this is where i do it. I feel so disadvantaged as well. To go further, I took my courses on line this summer thinking that this would help my situation. I pull all nighters because I was so wrong about everyone taking naps to do this in the day time. So you aint alone. Just hang in there. In the long run it will pay off. You are paying off right now in such small incrubits you cant really see it. But you sure can feel it. Hang in there and be glad to have a new day when you wake up. Enjoy the outdoors when you get a chance. This helps me. and my kids. :)

You are placing way too much stress on yourself. I was like this for most of my life and it led me to want to commit suicide and unfortunately getting placed on a dangerous psychiatric medication called Prozac as a teenager. It gave me permanent sexual dysfunction called Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction and basically ruined my life.

Your health is the most important thing in the world. Seriously, do you really think that college and work is that super important? It really is not important at all. As long as you have your health, you can be happy and live your life. Once you lose your health, especially your mental health...which it sounds like you are doing very quickly now, you have nothing.

You can have millions of dollars and the best job and it won't matter because you will become mentally ill. The medications you will be told to take by psychiatrists will make you even more mentally ill because they all cause brain damage.

If you can drop down to 12 credits per semester and just go one extra year to university, I believe this will benefit your mental health state extremely. You seem to have a lack of coping skills and because of this observation, I think that you could also benefit from some psychotherapy sessions, but never let them convince you to take any medication.

Finally, I understand that it can be a pain to live at home. It has a lot of advantages though. Hey, you live with your family, what's the big deal really? Do they love you and support you? If so, then reconsider your thoughts about living at home. I lived with many roommates and while fun at times, it was more of a pain than anything. Remember the old saying...the grass is always greener on the other side. Perhaps you are on the greenest side and you don't realize that yet?

I'm going to try to help, but it's not an easy thing to deal with. I've got a similar situation, and I haven't been able to totally manage my stress as best as I could in other situations, but that is partly because of how much stress and how constant it is. First, it would help to spend some time alone every day. 15 minutes to a half hour will help a lot. Spend that time on reading, writing, or listening to music, but spend it on something that isn't related to school or work. Try and just have that moment to stress out. While doing your activity, make sure and breath: try and keep nice slow even breaths.
Second, before classes, exams, work, or anywhere you know you will get stressed, breath again. This will be a breathing exercise that will help greatly at times of stress: even if you are in the middle of a stressful situation, do this and it will definitely help. Take a deep breath in through your nose and focus on nothing but the breath. Breathe that air into your stomach - low into your diaphram - and hold it just a moment to focus on it being there, and then exhale through your mouth, still focusing on your breath. Do this many more times, constantly making sure to focus on your breathing. This is a great stress reliever: I can't emphasize how much stress can be removed by doing this.
Third, on the daily commute, make sure and leave with a possitive attitude: have a nice refreshing drink ready just in case it gets too hot in your car. Have tapes or CD's with entertaining music that you like. Maybe have a series of tapes or CD's: some with fun exciting music, some with calming, some with some nice karaoke music or music you really like to sing along with. Have some crackers or chips in case of traffic; have an emergency stash of chocolate and candy if your feeling sad; try and plan ahead as best as you can with these things: commuting long ways has got to be the most stressful thing about my current college situation. If I get tired and need a nap at school before a class, what do I do? I could drive half an hour each way and probably end up being late, but that would be silly. So, I've got a fluffy coat for a pillow, and a heavy coat I keep for a blanket so I can take a nap if I need to. If I don't have enough money for lunch, I've got some snack candy in my car just in case. Try and figure out ways to make commuting easier on yourself; this helps A LOT with the stress.

Rock on and destress.

as far via fact the 8th grade is going, with the help of the time you're 25 or so which you likely won't even have the skill to bear in mind the call of your instructor. The 8th grade is beside the point interior the grand scheme of issues. Regardless if public speaking bothers you many that your mothers and dads allow you to reside homestead from college, and you're frightened adequate to bypass online and attempt to analyze it then you definately will have a valid rigidity subject. i elect to advise that your mom contacts your college's counselor to work out in case you could take selection variety of the try, or if there is a few variety of medicine that can assist you along with your rigidity subject concerns. There are 2 styles of stress, and the only you're describing seems to be the undesirable version of it.

if 'live at home' means you live with your parents, then you have no notion whatsoever of what stress is. Trust me.

"Oh my god I might get a C"

Vs

"Oh my god I think I'm going to be selling all of my clothes for food next week and sleeping behind the dumpsters at McDonald's because there's no way I'm going to pay rent"....

The best way for you to relax is to come to terms with just how easy you have it... apparently you go to a reknown (sic.) school, how bad is your life? come on.

EDIT::

I suppose I was downplaying school related stress a little severely, just trying to give you some perspective. I attend school full time and work full time. School stress is evident, but my least concern.

You need to balance your time, create a routine through out your day, at a certin time study for your courses, take breaks, at a relxing time of your day if you can find time, work up a resume, just balance your time and everything will be easier and less stressful

Remember everything comes ONE at a time..and it always takes some time, and there is always tomorrow. Take your time with each thing you gotta do, it'll help. Just try not to rush yourself, girl!
