hi there,
i was fascinated by the arrival of the USS Kittyhawk in Sydney Australia, but felt kind of jibed because i live in Brisbane and wanted to see the massive ship. But i was watching the news adverts on the TV today 10/07/07 (d/m/y) and i saw that it was comming to brisbane.
can someone tell me if this is true, where it is docking, and how long it is staying for as i would dearly love to go and see it. also i am unable to watch the news tonight as i have sporting commitments from 5.30-7.30

yes the kitty hawk is going to be in brisbane. i have no idea where it is going to dock but it will be arriving the 20th july.

the news tonight said it was a secret (for security reasons) as to arrival etc. so you'll have to wait till it arrives before seeing it on the news.
it will probably have to dock at fisherman's island cause it's so big and we'll never be allowed near it.
But we'll definitely get to meet all the sailers in town!!!

There was saying during World War Two that when locals were asked what was wrong with having the Americans here , their comments were...they're overpaid , oversexed & over here !

Yes it will be in Brisbane on Monday at fisherman's wharf it is on exercises at the moment and you may see some ships that protect it arrive today or tomorrow in advance .Doug.
