im going on a 2 day road trip and i want myself unbored and want to connect my 360 in my van... what do i need and how do i do it?

Go to Sam's Club and get a cigarette plug DC/AC power converter. It plugs in to your cigarette lighter and has one or two AC slots to power your xbox.
You can also use the converter to run a notebook or any other electrical device.

its not only amplifying it it is much more complicated.
the electrical system in your car runs on DC or direct current. at 12 volts. the electrical system in your home runs on AC alternating current. at 120 volts. if you try to plug it in you will probably destroy your gaming console.
the solution to this it to buy what is called a DC to AC power intverter. this device will run you xbox off of your cigarette lighter. the only concert when buying one is how much handling capacity it has. dont buy a cheap one if you need to run a lot of power.
check with walmart or a better place like bestbuy or curcuit city to purchase one. usually between 10 and 100 US dollars. hope this helps.
