I pay no rent at my mom's house, but I'm already 23 years old and would like to have my own things even if that means spending a lot of money that I don't have. I'm willing to get all the jobs I need, so do you think I should move out or stick around freeloading

I don't think you should freeload, but save some money first. Moving out and paying your own way can be a shocker. Do a budget and be realistic.

Good Luck!

Set a date for when you'll move out. Get a job first and save some money for first and last month's rent and deposit. Make a budget and figure out how much you need to live, plus some fun money. Set some goals for yourself. You're right, you need to stop freeloading, but you need a plan for how to do it.

Everyone your age should experience living on their own for awhile before settling down to marry or have children. Go for it even if you have to have roommates in order to live decently.
