If it's a date, romantic and humor. Serious will ensure no date #2

I think, if you have already know each other pretty well, or already consider yourselves friends or close acquaintances for a while, then you should be serious and romantic on the first date. Either way be yourself. Actually I changed my mind, be funny but be real/genuine, and be romantic at the same time.

Make him laugh. Serious and romantic on the first date might make him scared! Good luck!

A first date is the perfect time to learn about each other. Ask questions. Listen and find out what is important to him. Tell him about yourself. Be honest.

Laugh and have a good time. Don't worry in advance about how romantic it will be...and don't be romantic if you don't feel it.

I think a good mixture of both would be best. If you're too goofy, he'll think you're not serious about having a relationship. But then if you're TOO serious, he'll probably get scared off. My advice is to start with the jokes. Then if he starts acting like he wants to be a little more romantic, play along. ;)

Depends on the person. If he seems more serious and romantic then go with the romance, if he seems like a fun guy then lay out the jokes, its simple stuff really.

laughing is always better...it makes us guys more open and will enjoy the evening more. All romantic on the 1st date can be intimidating, depending on how well you know the girl.

MAKE THE GUY LAUGH! Come on, its only the first date. Show him you can be fun to be around and start to get comfortable with him before you get too into it! Good luck!

The date is about being yourself so he can decide if a second date will be offered. "To thy own self be true" always, guys hate fakes. If he wanted a fake or superficial relationship, wouldn't he be at home molting over movie stars and sexy posters? Sure he would. He's looking for a real lady, unique and posed. Be you always, be you!
