It depends a bit on what you ate and how well you digest your food. In general, the digestion cycle primarily produces the flamable methane (NOT nitrogen, which is NOT flamable) that creates a blue flame when burnt (thus the slang "blue rocket").
However, you should be warned that it is possible for some of the gas to be sucked back into your anus as your sphincter closes, bringign with it the fiery methane gas, causing burns in your intestinal track.
While that doesn't happen every time, it's not a chance that I'd take.

Yes you can, at least most of the time. A primary component of fart gas is methane, caused by the fermenting of sugars inside your intestines. The concentration of methane in your fart gas depends on what you eat. But for the most part, all farts will burn just a bit.
WARNING! I DO NOT recommend doing this. I had a buddy from High School who did this at a party one night and he actually got burns on his sphincter bad enough to blister. Talk about "OUCH"!!!!!

Yep. My brother and I decided to try, me being the victim of course. I was wearing fuzzy boxer shorts at the time and when he lit the fart, the whole back caught on fire. It was quite amusing, yet disturbing at the same time.

Well... No and Yes.
Some can. Some can't. It comes down to how your body breaks down food. Some people produce a large amount of methane and hydrogen in digestion. These gases are flammable. But it is around 50% of the population. So half can, half can't.
And people stop talking about Nitrogen!
NITROGEN IS NOT FLAMMABLE!!!

you can. work up a fart and then as the gas is leaving your body, hold a lighter up to your but and in the path of the leaving gas. most of the time it works

Yes you can. The air coming from your anus is actually Nitrogen (a very flammable gas). But be careful!
