those who choose not to agree with it, have a very classy rebuttal and tell you what an idiot you are..lol Wonder if they are a little bit insecure?

Good point, I think it is hilarious when people attack the questioner, without giving constructive criticism.
Yeah I think it is a factor of maturity and how insecure they are.

Some people are usually very stubborn if they don't choose the idea. If they KNOW it's a good idea, but didn't come up with it, they think it should go down the drain.
It's not that they are insecure, they most likely want the attention on them...Always. Lol. It's hard to believe these days, but everyone seems to want the attention to be all on them and if they don't get it, God only knows what they could do!

Someone once told me people only resort to insults when then they run out of intelligent debate/ commentary. I think he was right. Calling other people stupid or idiots isn't much of an argument but more like something you would expect from children taunting each other in the school yard. That being said I do laugh at witty comments and have to fight my urges to return jabs with jabs. If I so desired I could easily allow myself spit out poison. I worked with a guy who trained me was the most grinch like perosn I ever encountered. He was quickest witted and acide tongued individual I have ever met. But it really doesn't prove anything. Doesn't build any bridges or create an environment of meaningful dialogue. So I will try to contain myself.

nail on the head... I used to do the same till some one called me a bigot and I looked at myself and realized that because some one else's belief did not agree or seemed specious doesn't give me the right to be ignorant and belittle or hurt another but rather it gave me the opportunity to avail an additional view and leave it to others to opt for or against it.

I'll take a classy rebuttal anyday, especially if it is witty, gramatically correct and interesting. Even if they call me stupid they have shown me the respect of 'thinking' about my question, and their response.

Quit whining. People will have other opinions and will probably mock you for yours but oh well. They can't force their opinions on you. Whether or not you know it...YOU ARE NOT SUPERIOR TO THEM! Neither are they superior to you.
