The water bottle is an option, but this one is more effective and less abusive. Put aluminum pie pans across the edges of the table. Position them in such a way that when kitty jumps up, they'll fall to the ground and make a terribly loud noise. Of course everyone else in the house will probably be startled by the commotion, but soon kitty will associate the loud noise with jumping on the table and stop doing it. Believe it or not, they learn very quickly.

If spraying them don't work, try a piece of fly paper around the edge of the table ect. You might have to wash the sticky off but it won't hurt them, it will just scare the heck out of them

It is somtimes tuff to train cats and it takes a while. If you havent, Use a spray bottle of make a loud cat hiss noise at them. this doesent always work tho but i would try it. Depends on the cat!

say no and get em w/a squirt gun. better range than a bottle that you mist at them.
we did it with our lil trouble maker and she learned her lesson quickly.
what also works is something that makes a noise that they are afraid of. like a tin can w/coins or beans it it. shake that when they get near or on the table and that should spook them off.
