with the one answer about how the socket heals from the inside out and pushes everything out.. then why did he give me a syring to irrigate the sockets after I eat. he said if food gets trapped and the gum heals over it then it can cause infection.. and another thing... my surgery was a week ago and my chin aches all the time!!!

I can only assume that the dentist packed some Alvogyl into a tooth socket to treat Dry Socket. It is the only thing that I can think of that is nasty tasting. If it is this, then no you won't have to remove it. In fact, since the socket heals from the inside out, you don't have to worry about removing anything from the socket. As it heals it pushes everything out, so nothing gets trapped and left behind.

HELLO,
IF A DENTIST PUT A PACKING MATERIAL IN AND IT FELL OUT, CALL THE DENTIST AND ASK IF YOU NEED TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

It's not packing. It's Puddin'. Your dentist is a sex offender. Run Far. Run Fast.
