You already know this is a true statement. No denying this for sure. But why is this? Wouldn't you think it would be the opposite?

It doesn't really have anything to do with them being LDS/Mormon so much as it has to do with them being a religious leaders daughter. Did you ever see Footloose? Preachers/Bishops daughters generally fit your description.

Sure that happens sometimes, but not ALL the time. I know several daughters of Stake Presidents and Bishops and they are awesome in dress and action. Why do they do it? Good question. I would say that they are tired of being viewed as perfect examples and want to be a little rebellious to prove they are just as normal as others if not more. I assure if my dad ever becomes one of those I will keep my standards high!

Well it is not entirely true because I am the daughter of a former bishop and I never dressed inappropriately. I have always been very modest in the way I dress. Before, after and during his time as a bishop.

I think its the fact that they think they can get away with anything. That they feel liek they are movie stars like Paris Hilton, they are probably spoiled princesses, like some of the homeschoolers we took on a missions trip to a dump were some villagers lived, we had to make them take off their sunglasses and stop using hand sanitizer in front of the people. My pastors children turned out OK, I was very surprised because of all the bishops children I have seen be bad little children, its the other peoples children that are dressing inappropriately. (our pastor used the rod of correction by the way). They may do what I did, bad attention is better then no attention at all.

Look Frank, during my time in the church, there have been 2 bishops and both of them have a daughter.... both girls are babies, not even years old but month old and they are so cute!!!!!! I don't know what you saw in your ward but that doesn't mean that all bishop and stake presidents daughters are like you say. And of course I am denying it! And about the stake president, I don't know, his daughter is married and I've never seen her but I bet she's a great lady.

That is simply not true! I don't know what experiences you've had in the ward you once attended and then left, but all the young ladies I've seen in Church are modestly dressed.

You have a problem in that you love getting on the soap-box of derision against the Church and everything for which it stands. Your problem is influenced by the Adversary and I suggest you get some professional therapy before you go over the edge.

*not serious* And you think that we assume things about exmo's?

I remember hearing that it was bishop's daughters and Stake Pres' sons that were the wild ones. I have seen it a few times, but only on occasions.

My last bishop has 2 teenage daughters and both dress modestly.

Well, I don't know who the "Stake" Presidents daughters would be but if you are referring to the "World's Royalty Daughters" somehow dress less than how you would like them to dress, then the "problem" becomes your problem not theirs! Sometimes, someones definition of appropriateness might not be the same as yours. Are you the one to decide if something was appropriate? See, I don't really think that anyone stood in the judgment line and said "God, pick me that's the job I want---The Judgmental Job. That's the one I want"! I know when you look at it as "Man, I so glad someone isn't judging me because I'm having a bad hair day today" As long as a person's "superficial being" is not bothering me---I really don't care what they choose to be appropriate. My question is "Why does anyone?

It comes down to if someones "whatever" is not encroaching on my freedom, right to live in a kind and gentle manner, keeping me from what I need to survive by having my needs---Not My Wants, But My Needs, Unless, and Until, someone is doing that, then I really don't care what "costume" they are wearing! The outside stuff is not important to me! It's what someones' soul stands for that I am interested in----Other than that, I call it the "Fluff"! Un-Important "Fluff" at that!

Nancy

Well um I have wondered this too. Just in theory it could be that they are trying to get Daddy's attention as he is away at meetings so often.
