my cat plays fetch on a daily basis. he's so cute when he does it.
he's my mini-dog.
as for being normal, i think it's just a quirky part of their personality.

I think it is perfectly normal. I had a cat that would play fetch with the twist ties that come with kid's toys. I know someone else whose cat does the same thing.

I guess its normal for a cat to do any sort of activity but the majority of cats don't seem to fetch... A fetching cat.. how cute. :)

That is very cute!! My cat will sometime play with things i throw to him but never seems to bring them back. I'd say it's fairly normal. It really depends on the cat's personality and its playfulness. = D.

My cat loves to play fetch, she has her "crinkle balls" that we throw and she will get them and bring them back to us. She will play for so long and so hard that she actually starts to pant, it's so cute!

Probably not too common for a cat... but growing up we had a rabbit who'd play fetch. Not too common either.

My Siamese loves to fetch. He does it as good as any dog. He would do it for an hour straight if he could get me to sit still that long.

Giggles.... My cat plays fetch sometimes, he will go chasing after his ball, swat it around for awhile and sometimes bring it back.

Yes, but only with her little fur mice.
She's the first cat I've ever had who does this, and I've had a lot of cats! I almost died when she did it the first time!
