are there any specific breed of cat that is, say, more hypoallergenic?

People are allergic to an antigen in the cats saliva, so because cats groom themselves so much, they tend to cause more allergies. Keeping the cat bathed in a good mild soapfree shampoo might help.

The cat with the most hypoallergenic qualities is the Siberian. However there are others that been touted as being hypoallergenic as well and that would be the Devon Rex and the Sphynx.

no, there aren't any hypoallergenic cats..however, there are various ways you can cut down on the pet dander you breath in
