What part of the module is going out? The ccrm has the eec power relay, the fuel pump relay, the high and low fan relays, and the a/c clutch relay. If you know which relay has failed, then you will know which direction to go to first. Like if the fuel pump relay fries, I would suggest the fuel pump has excessive current draw. There is no known issue with the ccrm on that year car. I have replaced one or two for no a/c clutch engagement, but that is a low percentage compared to the number of '93 Tauruses I've work on. Less than .5%.
If you are getting these from a junkyard, then that is exactly what you are getting.

Since it is the fuel pump circuit burning out the control you need to diag that circuit. Start by finding a wiring diagram for the fuel pump, should be able to get one at the library or at Autozone, unhook the fuel pump and the relay module, measure the resistance on the circuit, should be less then .5 ohms, then measure resistance from the circuit to a good ground connection, should be infinite resistance. If both those pass measure the resistance from the fuel pump connector ground circuit to a good ground, it should be less then .5 ohms, if this is also good replace the fuel pump and fuel filter. Do yourself a favor and use a genuine Ford pump, they cost more but aftermarket fuel pumps are junk.
