The first Ford Mustang was made in 1964. All of the Mustangs from the '60s were remade in 2006 and 2007.

Which Mustang shows true muscle? My opinion? The new Mustangs have got no personality. And on the inside, it's like a computer.

The new mustangs actually have more power and options and better reliability. They also have more safety features and handle a lot better.

The old ones are the original ones and will always have a special place in our hearts. When they first came out they were considered secretary's cars. They were underpowered and didn't handle that well, but they did look good. It took Ford a year or two to get with the program with a little help from Carroll Shelby, then the mustangs were something to contend with.

They are two different cars, from different eras, and both are good at what they are supposed to do, mainly go fast. good luck.

The truer test is durability and stil being around after 30 years. The reason the older stangs are still around is they were made to last, not die out after 10-12 years. The newer stangs have all sorts of computer this, that, and the other...but they have tons of plastic parts that are just not gonna go for 30 years. The same can be said of the Vets, Cameros, Firebirds, and Chargers of the same period. They were made to drive as along as you kept maintaining them. Todays cars just are not designed intentionally for the most part to last like the cars of the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. Back then car makers took pride on how long their vehicles stayed on the road and performed instead of how many sales they could make every few years based on building a product you know won't last. The even funnier part is with all that is hyped on computers making the vehicles more efficient...for the most part the sports cars of today still don't get any better mileage than their 60s Famous collector counterparts.

no their not. a 64 will always be worth more than the new look mustang unless its a cobra, shelby saleen etc. but bone stock 64/65 vs a bone stock 05-07. the 64/65 will always be worth more to a true collector. Me personally I would like to see a 64 thru67 fastback or coupe with steering/suspension brakes of the new cars but keep the old 289 motor with no efi and computer crap on it. see www.dynacornclassicbodies.com 67 mustang fastbacks.

the older mustangs were good muscle cars, but the first ones weren't all that good,i owned 3 of them before, back when they wasn't that old, they drove like crap and didn't take curves well at all, only the gt and Shelby ones was truly muscle cars, the rest of them looked real good, but all of them was built from a ford falcon chassis, and they didn't have the suspension they needed to drive good until later on,and they did improve them a lot,Carol Shelby helped make the mustang a true sports car,he transformed them in to a true muscle car, good luck hope this helps.

I like the 87-93 years, they still make more after market "Hot Rod" parts for that motor, than any other engine made, and it's been out of production for 12 years, their is just is not a better engine to work up, their is more support for it, the 4.6 is just what it is, not much can be done to it.
