no. this is not proven but is strictly my recommendation: powerade and gatorade or any other sports drink has a lottt of sugar which will turn into fat if you're not doing strenuous intense exercising/sports. so i only recommend sport drinks for people who are very very active. working out during the week isnt really that intense and sports drinks arent really needed. water will do just fine.

Drinking powerade is good if you want to do strenuous exercises. The problem is that the the 32 ounces of Powerade has 76 grams of sugar and 280 calories.

Powerade is good for one reason, to replace the sodium (electrolytes) that is lost in sweat after exercising.

A lower calorie alternative is to consume regular water and eat vegetables and put some salt on the vegetables.

I drink a Powerade every workout. After about 1/2 is gone, I fill the bottle with water and keep doing that until all the Powerade is gone.
I workout very quickly, almost no rest between sets and I am doing intervals. Needless to say, I loose a lot of water.

you don't have to, but it was made for you to drink when exercising and sweating a lot since it makes up for the salt and stuff that you lost..

it has electrolytes in it, which your body loses during exercise.
you can just drink water. it has less sugar and is better for you.
