It is problematic for Home Depot to try and get rid of them. Doing so based on race could lead to racial discrimination lawsuits. And any direct action would be grounds for other tort lawsuits.
Even calling the police is risky, both for the reasons above and because the police probably already know about it and because local/state police are forbidden by federal law from enforcing federal immigration laws, so the police can't do anything except look intimidating -- and they don't have time for that.

WELLLL, there is somewhat of a story to that. It's not because home depot wants them there I don't think. Not sure about anywhere else, but the city I live in has a lawsuit against HD to make them build a shelter for the day laborors to congregate in while they wait for work. They are requiring it to be Air Conditioned and heated. THIS, is what I heard on the news and HD is fighting it tooth and nail.

No, I have never seen any at our Home Depot. I didn't even know about their obsession with Home Depot until I started coming to this forum..

Honestly, how would Home Depot know if they are illegal? Its a public parking lot, they can't go around asking people for their status, they would set themselves for lawsuits, unless they are doing something illegal in the parking lot, Home Depot can't do a thing....

In California there are many cities that are forcing Home Depot to build shelters for the illegals to stand in while they wait for the labor pool vans and contractors.
These same city governments force Home Depot to allow them to stand around and trash their parking lots.
Don't blame Home Depot.

Actually in many places home depot was forced to do it by local officials. But regardless I dont give them my business because they havent fought it much, as you dont hear anything from them about it. So I dont buy anything there.
