It depends on the player and on the vehicle. DVD units with separate control/display and processing units take longer than all-in-one units. There's also extra time required for wiring to the parking brake switch, and often there are separate A/V input boxes that need to be located and mounted. And some vehicles are much more difficult than others.

Also, I can tell you from experience that professional installers can't always count on avoiding distractions.

In most cases, you can plan on 1-2 hours. A few may take as many as three hours.

what kind of car and cd/dvd player makes a big deference,ever car is different and ever installer is different style of doing it
