Huh? I consider myself mostly liberal. I have a tendency to really care about people, the underdog, and those less fortunate. Therefore, I also care about our soldiers. I have a nephew who just returned from Iraq and one just deployed. My ex was recently deployed. I also have an understanding that soldiers follow orders based on our administration's decisions and that they may agree or not disagree, but still do their job. Personally, I believe when possible conflict should and could be resolved nonviolently (more of a liberal point of view) However, my personal beliefs about how I see the world politically doesn't take away from the respect and concern I feel about those who serve our country. I don't know how you can come to this false conclusion. Being human and caring about our soldiers isn't about political affiliation. It is similar to saying that all conservatives are prejudice etc.. It's ridiculously cliche. Open your mind and be careful about sweeping generalizations. Can we please get away from these stupid stereotypes and see that there are many more commonality than differences between us as people.

I resent that. Just because I have different views than you does not mean I hate our soldiers. You are just foolish to make these comments. I tried to get into the Army, but they wouldn't take me. I wanted to make a career but that didn't happen.
I am a liberal, and once you get the facts straight, and get your proof that us liberals hate the soldiers and have no respect for this country, keep your mouth shut.
You are a sad soul and how can you consider yourself a good person when you blast other people who don't think like you?
Good day
BTW, learn how to spell our, it is not spelled are!

Not all liberals hate soldiers. There are many who hate that we're in a war but support the soldiers and hope they come home safe. I myself am a liberal that loves a soldier and have supported the soldiers since the begining of the war.

Not all liberals hate soldier. In fact when I was in Iraq I got two phone cards from some people who were from SF. Along with the phone cards came a not that said bless you soldier F*ck Bush. So I would assume few libs hate soldiers but most probally hate the commander in chief.

I'm sorry how you are incredibly mistaken about that. Being a Woman Marine married to a disabled Iraq war vet AND we are both liberal Democrats i find that your statement to be very false. I also know plenty of fellow Marines , Soldiers and folks in the Navy who are also Liberals therefore contradicting your statement. I know there might be some but its not just liberals its some people in general. I suggest having some proof prior to asking something like this.
Its OUR by the way not ARE.

what's sad is that people that can't even spell or have a basic understanding of English composition can make blanket statements.
I guess this would throw off your logic and critical thinking quite a bit; I am a soldier and partial liberal. Therefore your statement is logically false. Go back to school.

It's always easier to hate something that you don't understand rather then making the effort to reach out and expand your horizons. The percentage of Americans who have served or know someone who has served is at an all-time low, so people who express knee-jerk hatred for the military or who express uninformed opinions about those who wear the uniform are guilty of the same mental laziness as those who believe that all Mexicans are criminals or that all African Americans are lazy.

They don't hate our soldiers they support them. They support the troops they just oppose their mission and hope they fail. They support the troops but want them defeated and driven from the battlefield in shame. They support the troops but celebrate the death of every soldier killed by terrorist.
They are invested in defeat. I guess they win if our enemies win, what does that say for them. What is sad is that they don't understand that Presidents and Soldiers don't lose wars, nations do.

It's sad that you confuse "our" and "are".
But beside that..... you seem to be making the assumption that wanting the troops home safe is the same as hating them. Or that demanding our government obey its own laws is not respecting our country.
Can you explain your thinking?

isnt it sad how you want them all dead??
we are trying to bring them all home ALIVE!!! by keeping them there, we are losing on average 3 brave men and women A DAY. they are just doing their job. It is our responsibility to make sure they are only in harms way when absolutely needed - not to fight for oil and money.
stop blaiming us and start pointing at the real criminals, dick and baby bush!
