Bush isn't after oil...otherwise our gas prices would be way down at the pump.

When he first went in, the idea was to overthrow a murderous dictator and give the Iraqis freedom.

But, the real threat in that part of the world is the Islamo-fascist movement that is out to destroy America, Israel, and anyone that is sympathetic to both lands. That's why we're really in there now. We keep a foothold in the Middle East and can keep an eye on the governments of Iran, Syria, and other nations that are sponsoring the Islamo-fascist movement.

To win.

"Win what?" is obvious question, and there are no clearly defined goals other than "staying the course".

That's why Bush won't even consider timetables or exit strategies or alternatives. He has no plan or goal, and thus there is nothing he can do other than force us to hang on for the ride.

The alternative would be to admit there is no current reason to remain, which begs the question of why we've been there for the past three years since "Mission Accomplished".

It is not oil! If he wanted the oil that could have been taken without ever entering any major civilian area. I wish he was after the oil at least I would be paying less at the pump!

Three letters......OIL.... looking at gas prices today, you obviously see that mission is not yet accomplished.
