OK before you read anything i want to thank you for taking the time to read and help me with this question. Also i'd like to ask for serious answers only please. thanks so much.
So i am a believer that God really exists and that there is a heaven. However i'm trying to help my friend better understand God. She believes in God and heaven, but doesnt understand how one guy could be SO POWERFUL. Can anyone give me a better explanation so i can help her out a little?

well that's the point isn't it...god is god...he created everything in existence,everything that ever has or ever will be.
God is almighty and his ways are not our ways. Listen...he is everything. I mean just think about it...in the beginning when the the sky was skyless it was all just a void...but god was there and he always has been thats just the way it is.
Plus he's not some ordinary guy...Hello he spoke in the darkness and created light....all things he spoke into existence...a normal guy could do no such thing.

Let your friend know that Jesus Christ was foretold in the Old Testament 1600 years before HIS Birth and He came to give HIS LIFE for our sins. HE spent about three years with the disciples teaching and working with them. After HE died they realized what was to be only after HE arose from the grave and met them. They then became HIS' Apostles and were all tortured and all but John were murdered in HIS' NAME. The Roman Cross was one of the cruelest deaths available. They beat the person with a whip which contained small bones and stones which ripped the skin from a person's body. They had them carry a part of the cross to the upright "stake" and nailed them to the cross-member. They shamed them by placing them in front of their friends, neighbors, and family hung on a hill and placed a guard so that they would remain. In Jesus case, they had to die before the sabbath so the legs were to be broken to insure that they suffocated earlier if they had not already died as HE had. It was a horrifying death that nobody wanted to face. Have a wonderful week.

Sometimes only God can show people He is God. does that make sense? I personally understand how He can be so powerful but that is by personal experience. maybe she needs some type of personal experience as well. maybe you should say a prayer and ask God to come to her and make Himself more "known"??

let her know that not understanding but believeing past that with "faith" is a big part of our religion, its not all going to come to use as once, God is different to everyone, yet the same eternially, He has done different things for both you and I, just let her know its okay to be confused.

not a guy, its a God. an entity with powers that he always had. decided one day to create all of this and decided not to step on us. i think thats the real power. the love and mercy that he shows.

God is perfect exalted and glorified. We as men have things to overcome (main one being sin). He is clean and cannot sin. He loves us and wants the best for us.

your friend needs to know there will only be 1 God and never will be another. and God is God and God is almighty,super powerful,super intelligent,etc because he is God.
