That is totally wrong! Your family are the people who are supposed to always remember your birthday when your friends forget. You as a person are too special for your first day on this earth to not be recognized. This is something they are going to owe you for. So call them tomorrow and say, "oh, yeah, yesterday was my birthday mom! Since you brought me into this world on that day it would be so easy to forget it!" That was just so wrong. When you become someone someday, you should make sure they know it was wrong, after forgeting your big day. I'm so sorry girl, but that has never happened to me but that's how I would do it, or ignore them, and not answer their calls for a while.

How can you possibly move on and pretend it never happened? Is your father that dillusional about abortions??? You don't just move on and pretend after and abortion! He's an idiot. Some women go into major depression or in pain for a little while. Some women just feel like total crap after an abortion, it's not something you pretend that it never happened. I suggest you have a serious talk with your family. Ask them for their support by being okay with your choice or would they rather you leave. I dont think you shouldn't let them see their grand kid, I think they were just thinking what is best for you but going about it the wrong way. Suggesting and forcing to decide are two different things. Ask them if they want a part on your Childs life, If not, I suggest move out if you are stable enough. this is hard but do not let them manipulate you because you do want the baby and I'd you go through with the abortion, you will be devastated. Only you know what is best for you because you are you. No one else feels your feelings or thinks your thoughts. Reality is is that your bf may not be there forever, you two may split up but if a baby makes you happy and you feel you can do it, do it. Stay strong.

Perhaps you should try this method. When your family are together-call your friends in college and thank you for wishing you a happy birthday. Also share with your friends of what you done for your special day. Said this loud enough for your entire family to hear. When you finish just go to your room. This will be test to see what's on their minds. I am so sorry this has happen to you, but your life is not a mess, because God bless you to have another birthday.
From me...to you...Happy Belated Birthday. May God grant you many many many many many more to come. God Bless

I'm very sorry for what happened to you and I wish you a happy birthday. Maybe they are a bit self absorbed in their own things right now that they might have forgotten. I know a friend of mine that happened to her. She told her parents that her birthday is in 2 weeks and they didn't really care. They cared for her older brother's, but not hers. Maybe you should talk to them and tell them that they forgot your birthday and tell them how you felt. Maybe they might have a reason for forgetting. Again happy birthday!

Happy Birthday to you!!!! Keep on pursuing that College Degree and lift your head up high and smile girl!
I'm sorry that you feel that your family doesn't care about your birthday. Sometimes adults have a lot of things going on that is weighing them down. I think it's okay to mention it to them and see what made them forget your birthday. It's best to keep the lines of communication open.

Your life isnt a mess because they forgot your birthday.
Your family is just self absorbed. But just wait and see what happens if you forget one of their birthdays, they will probably lay a huge guilt trip on you. Thats how self centered people act.
