I have a hard time accepting that God has created individuals solely for the purpose of sending them off to hell for falling short of mankind's interpretation of the Scriptures. Particularly as research has shown many homosexuals are born with a physiological inclination to prefer same-sex relationships. And anyway, I've seen my share of hetero Christians whose self-righteousness, judgment, and thinly-masked prejudice make them more outstanding candidates for eternal damnation than a God-fearing lesbian.
In my heart of hearts, your friend stands just a good as chance of entering the Pearly Gates than Mr. Falwell or his kin.
Probably more so.

What is truth in these forums? Rare is a question not an attempt to express an opinion. Likewise the answers too often reflect the bias of the individual - whatever their opinion. I read the other questions, you got what you asked for a variety of opinions about a hypothetical situation.
Now the question is about your girlfriend. Let me start by saying that irregardless of what any Christian on this forum may tell you, God alone can judge. God knows the heart. He tells us that he does not judge as we judge. I don't know how God will judge your girlfriend. Frankly I'm far more concerned about how God will judge me. That alone should be the focus of the Christian.
A true Christian is a person who accepts Jesus as Lord. They believe that Jesus came from heaven to die for our sins and that we may find forgiveness only through his gift of love.
True Christians are people who are growing. Paul spoke of Christians who are babies in Christ. As we grow, we learn more about Christ's will for our life. And if most of us are honest we struggle with that will. Most of us still struggle with sin and recognize that it is only by grace that we have any hope of life eternal.
You did not ask what the scripture says about homosexuality so I will not deal with that except to say that homosexuality is not lifted up as a greater sin than anything with which I struggle. All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. All are in need of grace.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." -- John 3:16

The problem with some people is, they take the Word of God and the body of Christ and try to make it say what they wantt o hear and be what they want it to be. The Word of God will either draw you to it or drive you away from it. If you are walking contrary to the Word of God and proclaiming it as your own, then you are walking in darkness and the truth is not in you. That lifestyle was not and is not acceptable in the Bible and you cannot change it to make it acceptable, else it is not still the Word of God, but a doctrine of self. You are effectively remaking God in your image, instead of being conformed too his image.

The two lifestyles are contradictory. I don't see how a true Christian could life a lesbian lifestyle.

So what if she's a lesbian. That's between her and God.
Besides, who are you to judge another person. If you're a christian than show love to EVERYBODY! That to me is a TRUE christain. It's all about ONE LOVE.
I'm sick of these people who's all deep in religion passing judgement on others. SHOW SOME LOVE TO ALL or don't show any at all.

Very interesting set of answers.
First of all, the answers given by admitted non-Christians are totally meaningless. They neither understand nor can instruct one on what it means to be Christian.
That eliminates about half of the answers as near as I can tell.
The other interesting thing is the absence of the word "repentance".
Without it there is not any way to be a true "Christian".
Modern evangelism likes to focus on the "God is love" phrase. This is a true saying. However, it tends to leave out the "God is just" phrase. This is also true.
God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell. that is why He has made a way for us to avoid it. But if we ignore that way then He will have to implement His justice. This means Hell.

I am bisexual but know it is not Christian like for me to be that way. therefore, I do want God to change me. because He didn't create us that way. It is not natural. Anyone that understands the bible and Jesus Christ knows that. I think it is "of the flesh" to be gay or bi. Totally.

Is she a true Christian? Maybe.
If she trusts God through Jesus Christ then she is, according to the Bible that I read.
