i just found out that my brother had three tickets from school by truancy about few months ago and he didnt tell my parents so he missed to go to court for two times
theres another one coming up but i wanna know what they're gonna do to him for the other two he missed to go
his license got suspended last month but he never mentioned anything about the tickets so we had no idea
would that be anything other than suspending the license? like paying more fines?
i heard the fine goes up like crazy if you dont appear on the court

Warrants for his arrest

the court will suspend his license if he is found guilty (which he will if he does not appear) and his license will be suspended for "failure to pay a fine" for each summons issued. Eventually the court will issue a warrant for his arrest and those fines will only get more expensive. Word of advice...try tough love...sounds like you need to let go and let your brother deal with his own mistakes. Perhaps your only enabling him and exacerbating the problem. Good luck!

As far as I know, if you miss your court date, regardless of the reason for court, you will get a warrent for arrest for failure to appear. He may then have to spend a few days / weeks in jail until the judge can see him, and decide if he should stay in jail, or what the penalites will be. Its silly to go to jail for traffic ticket. Sometimes the judge will let you off without fines if he just showed up. Now theres no chance of that at all!

In my state, he will get an arrest warrant, in addition to what ever he is being charged with. Because he hasn't shown up for court, it will be a default warrant (no bail) and have to sit in jail until his arraignment. His parents will also get bench warrants because it is a truancy issue and they should have shown up for court with him and they are considered just as responsible. His fines, fee and penalties will go up in addition to suspended license. Best thing to do.. have him and his parent go to the court before the police go looking for them.

Yeah, this could get pretty serious. Fines go up like crazy, he won't be able to get a job when he's older, and he may get arrested. Tell him to tell his parents the truth and get down to court when he's supposed to. He can only hide it from his parents for a short time. Eventually they will find out directly from the court, and then it will be 10 times worse. So he would be better off if he told them now.

It depends on what type of court your going to. traffic court, they will give it usually 3-5 days for you to come in and pay your ticket then they issue a warrant. For more serious offenses they will just issue a warrant fot your arrest

if the judge is in a bad mood, and your brother acts like he didn't give a rats ***, he could be charges with contempt for FTA and given a harsh sentence.
because he FTA AND got his lic. suspended. He's looking at getting a medium to HARD penalty for being uncooperative. BEST thing to do is just take care of it now and just get it over with. The court will wait and let it catch up with you. These things can carry on an linger for YEARS and YEARS.

A warrant will be issued for his arrest. He will probalbly go to Juvenile Detention for a while. The court's don't take missing court dates lightly. He definitely needs a lawyer.

He probably has a bench warrant issued for those other incidents. Which means he'll have to resolve them all, including fines and penalties for missing the previous court dates.
