Look, there are arguments for both sides, but who cares? Why not just treat nature well? If we just had some respect for it in the first place, this wouldn't even be an issue...

The fact that you just said that the Antarctic and Greenland ice shelves are growing clues me into the fact that you are either a liar or a lunatic. Do you do any research before making these statements?

Holly, I would suggest you take this discussion into the science area. Belief in global warming has nothing to do with religion. Here is the definition of religion according to the American Heritage Dictionary: NOUN: 1a. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
No one is saying there is anything supernatural about global warming.

Ow! Quit it out! It *hurts* to roll my eyes that hard!
Polar bears are drowning. The Artic ice cap is disappearing, and major ice shelves in Antartica, that had been there for millennia, have broken loose. Decaying patterns in the North Atlantic/Gulf Stream ocean current loop are producing more frequent and more violent storms.
Meanwhile, there are over six BILLION of us on the planet, and CO emissions are the highest they've been in 400,000 years. But NO, there's NO connection.
Suuuuure there's not. o_O

Yes. I'm also a member of the religion that holds that looking in the sun harms your eyes, that refrigeration keeps food fresh longer, that the Holocaust occured, that evolution is fact, and that scientists tend to be right.

I thank the good Lord that he gave me a brain and a desire to explore the world around me through science. As such, I have not fallen prey to the histeria and bad science behind the myth of man-made global warming!

As a Christian I say "Pollute, Pollute, Pollute", Jesus will fix it when he returns.
It is important to support Big Industry, who are terrible polluters, in order to keep the Republicans in power, so they can make abortion illegal.
God hates abortion more than he loves the planet. So be sure to tell your neighbors that Global Warming is a liberal conspiracy myth.
(that's sarcasm, folks)
