If you are walking along in the a jungle and saw a building sitting there, how would you know there was a builder? You can't see him, smell him, touch him or taste him. However by knowing that the building has design, you can know there was a designer.

Would you believe me if I told you that over millions of years glass slowly crept up from the dirt and into a frame? And then all of the other pieces, including the windshield wipers, a gear shift, pedals, an engine, and a steering wheel, morphed and created a perfect working car? Would you call me a sane person for telling you that?

So why then do you all who deny the existence of God refuse to believe that all of creation (the sun to keep us warm, the plants to provide us fruit, the human digestive tract, the human eye, the layers of the atmosphere, the hydrologic cycle, dna to hold information, and on and on) was intelligently designed as well. That's just as illogical as claiming that the vehicle made itself.

When buildings reproduce? Reproduction just shows how awesome God's creation can be and how crummy humankind's creations are in comparison to it.

Why must it be your God that made it? Would you be willing to concede that another god made it? No, this makes no more sense to me than when Kirk Cameron said it.
If that is what you want to believe that is fine, but why do you feel the need to have everyone think the same as you?
I agree with the point on Hume.

There is physical proof of a God that exists or existed. That proof is us. Now look at it this way: We are here, alive and breathing. Some type of life source had to of created our life force. Whether God is a energy in space or some other being, he does exist. People like like to say it was the big bang that created everything. But how about this: What if the BIG bang was God? Light matter and dark matter colliding, can cause the creation of everything. But it goes beyond our comprehension. Life can not come from something that doesn't consist of life. If there was no life, then there would be no life. Our body is made up of energy and that is what God is made up of. That is how we are in his image. That could be how he is with everyone at all time. Once we die, our soul (energy) can not die. It must either go into another life (Reincarnation) or back to the main source. Energy must remain moving because dead objects do not contain energy.

Tell you what. You provide evidence of an actual "design" that could not have evolved or developed without a "designer" and someone might listen to you.

Otherwise, this is an exercise in incredulity. "I can't imagine this occuring without a god, therefore it is proof of a god!" Logic doesn't work that way, it's a common fallacy that fails to work every single time.

(Also, I think you mixed up metaphors. In the first paragraph we're talking about a building, and then paragraphs 2 and 3 it's a vehicle of some kind.)

OK, if I told you that I, an adult person, really believe in Santa, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy, would you call me a sane person?
But if I tell you, that I believe a guy was born to a virgin mother, then he was killed, then he came back to life and went to live with his father, but now, after 2000 years he is coming back any day, then this story, is much more believable and logical and I'm a sane person. Why is this story more believable? The Bible says so? That's real proof.
-----------------------------
And by the way, nobody ever said that a car can make itself even in a billion years, but primitive (one cell) life can evolve into intelligent life given time and the right conditions and then the intelligent life (people) start building cars.
There's no guarantee, of course, that the ability to produce cars make ALL people intelligent, and you "logic" is a good example.

you are comparing a solid structure which is man made.. to natural things which can reproduce and mutate..

your statement makes absolutely no sense.. and is too simplistic to even beginning explaining.

i could go into great detail and explain to you of how our eye works.. why plants grow .. how and why plants grow fruits to feed animals.. which germinate seeds .. which make new plants grow .. how the layers of the atmosphere exist .. ETC ETC .. in an email to you.. if you would like.. without ever mentioning god.

We exist today .. along with everything else in the world .. b/c we are capable too.. of course *almost* everything works the way it does today b/c it has to.

if we were not capable of being here.. on earth.. then we wouldn't be.. so everything has to work..

Not proof. You're assuming there is a builder because mankind builds things. There is no proof of that and there never will be. If a god exists, that god is not mankind so stop acting as though the god would be.

Your anology doesn't work. You are comparing a biological system to a single building. I don't see enough relationship for your argument to float with me.

You might have better luck with the classic watchmaker argument. But even that has an issue with mechanical systems behaving differently from biological systems.

This is just a different version of your standard watchmaker analogy. This analogy has been around for a long time and most intelligent people see right through it. Call me when builidings start to reproduce.

Just because you don't understand evolution doesn't mean that it was done by a god. This is the mentality of the ancients that made a god for everything they didn't understand. It is just as untrue today as it was then.

God is neither existing nor not existing. People don't realize this and fight about God all of the time. When are you going to learn that worldy labels such as "existing" and "not existing" only apply to us and not a higher power.
